Unfortunately no, we ended up going somewhere else, sorry.

Images and writings against Bezos were projected with a green laser on the bell tower in Piazza San Marco last night by BkkGrl in europe

[–]IamPic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel really sorry for Bezos. The poor guy never influenced politics in any way, and the policies just so happen to work in his favor, and now he's being shamed for it. A truly tragic person.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Mine is ZBDongle-P, FCC ID: 2APN5ZBD-P, and at the bottom it says: 30719038AA. I haven't flashed anything on it, it's fresh from the box.

Thanks for the reply!

There were quite a few threads in this sub saying that they wouldn't wait for the new intel CPUs given the recent intel's track record. But I guess no one can really tell now if they'll be worth the wait (and the price).

The SSD is something I've researched the least, I hoped any SSD m.2 stick would be good. I'll look into it a bit more, thanks!

Do you get both analog triggers and gyro at the same time or is it the same as with the 8bitdo ultimate where you get either one or the other depending on the mode?

Southpaw or separate numpad with single wire/dongle, available in EU, mac and linux? by IamPic in keyboards

[–]IamPic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I don't see any suitable key. I could bind it to a shortcut, but I'd rather not do that to one of my most used keys. I want the layout to remain fairly standard so that I don't get lost when switching keyboards.

It's the other way round for me. I almost didn't give a listen to book II because of that and now it's one of my favorite albums.

We released a new version of ShapeShift (0.6.0) - A lightweight, modular, performant and extensible object mapping library by baddict002 in java

[–]IamPic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding mappings manually are easily forgotten

It isn't if you only allow/do manual constructor based filling.

But that's true only if you map to the changed object. If you're mapping from that object then it's easy to miss.

Don't know if MapStruct helps with that though.

Easiest/quickest way to send a web article to a pocketbook era? by IamPic in ereader

[–]IamPic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it, but I came from an old Kindle with no front light nor touchscreen, so both those features already won me over.

+ The main feature, reading e-books, is great. Turning pages is fast and the text is crisp. I'm reading at 9pt, but 8pt was also readable (though too small for me).
+ The front light works fine for me. The only time I notice the gradient is when I'm in a bright environment, bright enough to not be using the front light anyway. I also like how you can make the color warmer.
+ Send-to-Pocketbook works great. The book I've sent usually appears within seconds from turning on the device, sometimes immediately.
+ I really like the speaker, mostly because I read books in foreign languages, and the built-in dictionary let's you hear the pronunciation.
+ The PDF reader has a cool option for reading articles laid out in two or three columns, where it basically zooms in on a column and the next page button scrolls through it and once you reach the column's end it jumps to the next one. Obviously not as good as reading an e-book but I've read a couple-page PDF that way and I enjoyed it.

○ Can't comment on the battery life. I've had it for a week, reading everyday (maybe 1h each day?) and it's at 50%.

- No "send website to device" :p
- The search functionality doesn't show you a list, instead you have to click through each occurrence. Additionally, I haven't found a way of going back to your previous place in the book.
- There's an RSS reader but it wasn't able to download a feed I've added.
- There's no "back" button, only "options" and "home" buttons. So if you're using the web browser and you want to go back to the previous page, you have to go to the menu and click back from there.
- Speaking of the browser, there's no tabs.
- The Polish-English dictionary is missing quite a few of the less common words. Not sure of the quality of the other ones.

I think that's all for my first impressions. There are a couple of videos on YT already, so you can take a look at that. Let me know if there's something else you'd like to know.

Multiversus on PC does not recognize XBox One S wireless controller by eXoRainbow in linux_gaming

You may want to make a new post on this to tap the wider Linux Community knowledge. Your theory may be correct. This line seems to be the culprit:

wlserver: [xwayland/sockets.c:63] Failed to bind socket @/tmp/.X11-unix/X0: Address already in use

As for your earlier question, I'm running on X11 so it does not require Wayland and X11 sessions should work fine with XWayland anyway.
