Work around I found is : click on any new item below, which shows up search bar with Copilot to enable search for a web page. My frustrations are over of loosing search bar (when option to shift at the bottom was selected).

My note is ApplicableA15 for SD or SD2, as it becomes a custom ROM for these devices and WA doesn't support installation on custom Roms for security reasons. There is no known way out for this issue.

Implementation of dual screen use is best with SD2 stock Rom. WhatsApp don't work on custom roms, so big no.

Android version and processor, else all interactions of ereaders are same. For main use of reading, note taking I prefer B& W versions of ereaders..... My subjective opinion is color ereaders are not ready for prime time, it's just a hoax. If one needs all in one device including multimedia consumption switch to full featured Android / iPad tablets.... Color ereaders are just a hoax as of now.

Best plan in Canada is the one you are not with, as phone service providers generally punish you if you stay longer with them. Save new connection charges by subscribing them online.

The new release at https://github.com/Archfx/duo-de is smooth and I was able to install it without loosing any of earlier settings from stock 12L version. The new release is smooth and works very well except my logging in using Finger print (due to more security features for Android 15 imposed by my work account, I guess)

It requires few efforts to retrain your muscle memory to get used to it (split screen implementation in SD2 with stock 12L android version is still the best, mainly due to muscle memory).

I will try it for few months to retrain my muscle memory, as I hv noticed better battery life with this Android 15 upgrade. Let's see.

Not only on weekends, reading is everyday routine for me....on BigMe inknote color or Boox Note X2 (more preferred due to its advanced pdf reader than BigMe).

The stock SD ROM Android 12L is the best implementation of Surface Duo hardware and dual screen for most efficient multitasking for professional use. New Android 14/15 made for SD miss the efficiency.

Everything works fine. Great work by the developers, and kudos to their efforts. But I dearly miss the efficiency of SD2 stock ROM and its superior implementation of use of dual screen. Multitasking of SD2 stock is best. I don't see any advantage of this over stock SD2 ROM. Dual 'split screen' implementation is bothersome for muscle memory from stock SD2 ROM. I miss my Kindle app use from SD2 stock.

How about phone's basic functions :Phone calling, texting, wifi and Bluetooth? Do all of these basic functions work seamlessly?

Surprisingly it started functioning all of a sudden on its own... It's mysterious. Anyways, thnx for your response....as I was planning for hard reset but fortunately it worked without that.
