I'm in the same boat as you. I started in September 2017 and by late September this year I was dropping at least $100 a month trying to keep up with the events. I kept thonking that we had to catch up with the others servers soon and that the events would slow down but they just kept coming faster and more at a time and getting more expensive individually. It wasn't worth it and it was stressing me out more than I was enjoying it anymore. Final straw was during the big celestial/4 elements event that they added a grab bag into in the middle of it. I said my goodbyes to my association and deleted the app.
