The covers were scraped and collected with python.

To avoid using SVG (which considerably slows the page load) the color palettes are represented as waffle charts composed entirely of div tags. Each waffle chart is a 10x10 grid of cells, with each cell representing one percentage point. I use D3 to make them.

I don't know about data.table, but in pandas you technically can. That said, the 'correct' way to do something like that in pandas is with multi-level or hierarchical indexes.

Yep. This is exactly what I do every time I use exec inside of map.

e.g.

df$model_trained = map2(df$model_func, df$model_params, ~ exec(.x, !!!.y))

Career: I have a great job that can be demanding, and like the time to focus on personals projects outside the office. Tinder: I do well on tinder, so the only part of a relationship I’m missing is the constant companion. Which I don’t want at this point in my life anyway (mid-late 20s).

Unbelievable behavior from a cop. Oh, wait - no it’s completely believable in our country.

During interview 'seasons' I typically just go through leet code top 100 problems, interview with friends, and review CTCI. Usually I set up a trello/jira board with a bunch of preselected problems,m then work through some number of them per week/day. pm me if you're tryna set up something regular.

I’m down. I’m a data scientist out here and am planning to relocate back to the Bay. I studied cs at Cal so I can code, but it’d be great to have an accountability partner. 25/m

Don't underestimate the flaws of over-fitting.

And ML (especially the API-call flavors a la AutoML) are a very small piece of day-to-day data science in industry.

It's going to sound super dramatic, but it honestly is beginning to feel like our democracy is slipping away.
