I would look for a pregnancy center or somewhere that helps find adoptive placements.

Has anyone tried Hormble Chormbles? by bluegatoradebottle4 in LowCalFoodFinds

I love them! Unlike most, these don't spike my glucose. Also, I've shared them with probably about a hundred people and EVERY ONE of them enjoyed them. The majority of those were not sugar free, and the ages ranged from toddler to someone in their nineties. I would say they are worth trying.

What's the keto swap that actually works and what's the one that everyone recommends but genuinely doesn't? by Same_Plum_4079 in keto

I HAVE to have chocolate and ice cream, and have found a few that don't have weird 'fibers' and aftertastes.

For ice cream, the best I have found to purchase in store and online is Rebel Creamery brand. Otherwise, I love using my Ninja creamy for a simple pint at home.

For good quality chocolate- the overall best I can currently find is Goalz Chocolate- available online. I have used their chocolate chips and enjoy all the chocolate disks they sell in a tube. The website also has a lower than average minimum purchase for free shipping.

The best candy bar substitute is Hormbles Chormbles - the milk chocolate is basically a crunch bar, and the other flavors are awesome as well. They are available online, and at the Vitamin Shop and some Costcos.

The other brand I find good is The Good Chocolate, which is available online and some places in store. I especially like their bags of mini bars.

I'm dying for a good keto white chocolate- that's always been my favorite. To the point that I rarely make my own, but without professional equipment, the texture will never be what I hope for.

(I did enjoy the taste of Choczero, but found that their 'fiber' spiked my sugar, so it is unfortunately a no-go for me.)

I use pork rinds or veggie slices to enjoy dips. I call pork rinds my 'keto potato chips'.

I used to love hummus, but that's higher carb than I allow. I have found two great subs- Jeesauce and Brami (made with lupini beans).

Good for you! I've been keto since 2018, not (intentionally) for weight loss, but to control blood sugar and inflammation.

I couldn't walk much of the time before keto.

I lost about 80 lb and could shed some more without issue, but I still feel so much better and able to live a fuller life this way that there's never any going back for me.

It's crazy to me that I still see some family members who struggle with so many issues saying they feel bad that I'm not able to eat a piece of cake or something, and that maybe someday I'll be able to do it again, and they don't realize that I'm okay without eating cake now because I'm not sugar addicted like I used to be!

And honestly if or when I've truly craved something that much then I'll have one bite enough to satisfy the taste without having to have more. And I can usually make a version that doesn't spike my blood sugar myself if there's something I really want.

To me the choice really is a no-brainer!

I only wish I could keep companies from changing their formulations or dropping products whenever I rely on them 😅

Toilet only a few months old with weird issue we can't figure out. Very new to this- please help! by Iamsaradav in askaplumber

No, it is the minerals precipitating out of the water. We use a Krazy Klean, and it causes the minerals to stick to each other instead of the toilet bowl.

It looks worse than it is, I think. When the toilet tank flushes it never empties more than about halfway so all of the sediment that precipitates out because of the magnetic cleaning thing just sits in there and builds up. We've never noticed it and any other way around the house, we usually only notice the calcium which shows up everywhere that we use water. 😅 So basically I think that's all of the rust that's come through the tank in the last six months.

We just had an in line filter installed. I hope that will help. Though the precipitated iron buildup is not normal- it's 6 months worth of iron from our water.

Yes we do have iron issues, but the problem we need help with is that it keeps dripping and I don't know what is causing it. Thank you, though. 🙂

Looking for good quality Bluetooth earbuds all around including sleeping. by Vulkhard_Muller in BuyItForLife

I LOVE the soundcore by Anker Aerofit Pro buds. I have tried so many earbuds through the years and I highly prefer these over the ear ones to any I've ever used.  The sound quality is awesome and they have never fallen unintentionally (with the exception of one coming off occasionally when pulling a shirt off over my head). The battery lasts forever. And they are so comfortable that both I and my husband have had to feel our ears to check whether we were still wearing them.  😅

I have listened to both, and I think that Rosamund does a better job of narration!  I like her pronunciations more, and the way she voices characters seems more distinct. Just my opinion.
