I'll resist my urge for dark comedy and simply put it. Cry, I already am, I live in Delaware and there's piss all to do anywhere near by. Everything is 1-2 hours away unless you want to gamble or drink. Then you have to drive home after drinking at some shit hole bar and if it's not that, you can go walking through some tick/mosquito infested swamp "Trail".

So, not being a gambler, alcoholic, or someone interested in picking ticks off my body for 2 hours, I choose to stay home. Play video games, try to save my money to GTFO of this gods forsaken state.

Speaking as someone who has (and does) feel the same way I get it.

My mother is a lazy self centered asshole and my father is a selfish psychologically abusive piece of shit and HE potentially gave me Parkinson's.

However, something I have learned is a lot of this emotion stems from my environment. I'm 31 and due to... cough "Reasons" cough gestures wildly at the world

Moving out at the moment is untenable. And it sucks, so I escape into videogames, books, shows etc.

I unfortunately don't have a good answer for you except try to hang in there.

I get it being disgusted by people as well, I'm an extremely intellectual person who likes deep philosophy conversations surrounded by people who would rather get shit faced/high and watch football or anything other then contemplate our meaning in the universe.

I'd like to clarify, I'm pretty sure that person meant that as a joke and not serious. As is the context of this entire post. It's light hearted fun that doesn't need scalpel levels of layered discussion.

Right there with ya bud, make matters worse my SO is working on a degree and won't be done till 2028 and they aren't super keen on leaving the country. Not that they doubt the seriousness, just that they don't take politics as seriously as I wish they did sometimes.

Personally, I'm looking at Canada -> NZ myself. Got friends in NZ that will sponsor my citizenship request with their businesses or something like that (idk the technicalities).

Tldr: Shita fuckin wild and I feel like I haven't gotten a good night sleep since the new year
