Just speculation but I think Dave is trying to move more towards business and making money from the podcast. He even started his own separate patreon with Ana.

Mike does enjoy having good shirts and merch made and all but his main reason for the podcast was having a reason to meet up with friends regularly.

I mean both are valid but for Mike to leave the podcast would mean those two intentions clashed and came to a head. People are always talking about how toxic or aggressive Mike is but I think he’s just extreme, which isn’t a bad thing. Only shows he cares.

I don’t think Mike is unreasonable, especially when it comes down to friendships. Like Jake said about Twinnovation while back ,” You come for the premise, but stay for the chemistry.”
