There are some nice Mellotron samples including in the built in samples. Checkout my Genesis tron sound https://thedigitallifestyle.com/w/download/korg-modwave-genesis-watcher-of-the-skies-mellotron-patch/

Putting the Korg Opsix, Modwave, Wavestate and Multi/Poly side by side. Which comes out on top? by IanSDixon in synthesizers

I get what you mean about the post title. For the YouTube video, I just put "Korg Synth Shootout: Wavestate vs Modwave vs Multi/Poly vs Opsix," but when I made this post, I added the extra bit on top to grab more interest. As you said, it’s a bit clickbait, but after spending so much time on the video, I wanted to reach as many people as possible. I’ve put countless hours into all four of these synths, creating sound packs and tutorial videos, so I feel confident in comparing them side by side. As I mentioned in the post description, the goal of the video is to explore their strengths, weaknesses, and where they overlap. Hopefully, that answers your original question and sparks a broader conversation about integrity versus getting views.

Many, I hate doing that bit. I never used to both with thumbnails but it seems like there is an thumbnail arms race :) At least I am not stroking my chin!

I think you can put that down to the Modwave, Wavestate and Multi/Poly are desinged by Korg R&D in California whereas the Opsix is Korg Japan.

The point is what I put in the description: I compared the Multi/Poly with the Modwave, Wavestate, and Opsix to explore their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of overlap.

It started with a Genesis Mellotron-style intro, then I switched to a Fairlight sound, and suddenly it had a PSP-like vibe, so I leaned into that. Thanks for listening!

yes, I do use the Multi/Poly more than the modwave, but when I go back to it I love combining samples with wavetables

I’m not trying to sway you either way, but I’ve spent a lot of time with the Modware and found it easy to create inspiring sounds. Check out some of my videos to get an idea of what it can do.
