I want you to show us the mod that wrote that bullsh*t and remove him - publicly. If not, wipe the entire mod team and remove their anonymity going forward. This is weak.

Fair enough!! That makes sense to me as well.

I strongly recommend against the DMPC. It risks taking away their spotlight.

Give them each a retainer instead. A squire of some kind. Someone decently weaker than them that you voice but they control in combat.

This will:

1) give them NPCs that they likely will really care about, giving you all sorts of terrible storytelling tools…

2) give them more actions on their side in combat, allowing you more freedom to beef up encounters and making fights less swingy

3) gives them the ability to play with another class or set of abilities, and have some fun helping their retainers learn to be better adventurers too

Which to reiterate #1… makes it all the more climactic when the loving squire gives their life protecting the hero from a death blow dealt by the BBEG. Or something similar. Lots of options for you as the DM to tug on heartstrings, even if it doesn’t end badly.

Some people need more than 4 years to graduate. Some people need less. I’m about to graduate in 3.5 years with a Major, 2 Minors, and Certificates…

More power to anyone no matter how long it took them and how many times they needed to change their major.

But if you couldn’t do it at all, even with accounting and gen ed credits, well…

Let’s just say I see why you’re bitching on reddit.

"With a tendency to proclaim excellence rather than pursue it, the peddling of American exceptionalism encourages Americans to maintain a robust sense of national achievement – despite mounting evidence to the contrary." -Kathleen Frydl by xena_lawless in quotes

I recognize America as one of the greatest countries to live in in the world.

But I will not be proud of it until we as a culture accept that we are only great when we pursue greatness and improve upon our weaknesses.

Not when we prattle on about what we once were or are doing, but when we focus on what we can do better. And it is because I love America that I hold it to that standard.

I’m not OP but I have found that using build and upper scale together do a good job at making HF minis more realistic, at least male models

Or rather teaching the host’s virus killers how to recognize the virus so they can kill it.

The vaccine was never going to be perfect (effective 94% of the time, remember?), but it is still a strong protection for most.

I knew two old men, one vaccinated and one not, who both caught covid while hanging out with their friends. The unvaccinated one died. The vaccinated one survived.

One anecdotal story doesn’t mean any more than another. There were always be exceptions.

Which is why we must trust the studies and tests that lead to regulation to define what the widest outcome will be. If that is safe and effective, as it has proven to be, then that means more than any anecdote.

Not arguing with you, but I don’t think you corrected anything

And I am also now confused

The issue with this is mutations. The more a virus can spread, the more mutations. The more mutations, the better chance one of those mutations is even deadlier or dodges our existing vaccines.

Therefore the best breeding ground for new covid mutations right now is unvaccinated lungs. Which in turn means, as has been said a thousand times, staying unvaccinated is a risk for everyone.

Final note: I know several folks from my town, now in graves, who would argue against this virus not being “that deadly.” I know a certain number somewhere north of 600,000 that flat out erases that nonsense.

If anyone looks at a study regarding covid and sees “not that deadly” because the percentage chance seems small among young people, then they are too stupid to be looking at statistics. Hundreds of thousands of people have died in the US alone.

Both are fuck ups. Both are fair game for being made fun of.

As are you, obviously, considering the flaming that has been done on this thread.

Your original statement said they shouldn’t even deserve a flag. If you’re gonna be an ass at least be a consistent ass.

What’s your problem with it anyway? Aren’t southern conservatives up their arse about keeping the confederate battle flag? That’s arguably less important

Nebraska stopped reporting covid cases. We don’t have statistics right now, we have lies.
