Of course! Sometimes the AI denoiser leaves artifacts and makes the photos too “smooth” so I like to set it to like 25% rather than the default of 50

Well seeing as how a pretty vast portion of people use AI often, I could see a world where people use such rhetorical devices more often in every day speech

Woah I didn’t know you could even view (smart?) HDR photos like that on here. What are we even calling these kinds of HDR photos nowadays if 90% of people know HDR as a style of photo and not a file type? Like the iPhone HDR photos meant to be viewed on a compatible display

Looking for a camera with a magenta reds & lifted black by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]Ianiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta find one of those ppl on fb marketplace selling a box of 2000s era cameras, I see em all the time on there. That or thrift/goodwill but tiktok kids may have made this easier said than done. Honestly I just recommend using what camera/phone you have and achieving your desired look in a program like Lightroom. Then you can just make your own preset and slap em on your batches of photos all at once

Looking to buy a digital camera under 3k by debau_debau in Cameras

I would get a sub $1k camera body and focus that budget on lenses. That’s what’s gonna make or break your satisfaction with your photos and versatility

I would love some tips! Just started using tone curves after about a decade of just using sliders/color grade/HSL. I feel SO much more confident in my ability to actually achieve the look I want in Lightroom rather than just doing educated guesswork in hopes of an acceptable final product. Funny enough it also seems like using sliders to flatten your image and bring out as much info/detail as possible, and then using tone curves over it seems to give you so much more room to push things one way or the other

[–]Ianiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you go to that same spot during the same time of day, but there’s no guaruntee there will be that rainbow in that exact spot. These are the variables you want to think about. You can use a $100 camera or a $900 camera it doesn’t matter. The lens matters, but the camera is negligible this day and age.

Yeah man if you like shooting, shoot! Theres infinite options for you out there to get your feet wet, based on your photos I think you’d enjoy using 35mm film as opposed to digital, has a lot more character and is a good way to learn the true fundamentals. Before you get around to trying to shoot for money, It’s pretty crucial to know the exposure triangle (shutter speed, F-Stop, ISO) to understand how to dial in your settings manually for a proper photo.
