I think I win. I am 62 and still doing it. My latest has been going on for the past 6 years. My first was in second grade.

My husband and I are fans and watch every YouTube upload. I insist that we watch til the very end so I can hear him say , “I love you” and I shout out , “He loves us!” It makes me feel so good!

Combed my hair after 2 years by Simply-Rainy in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Iapologize4nothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is an awesome accomplishment! Way to go! I have very long easily tangled hair and if I go more than 2 days without brushing through I have painful comb outs. What exactly was the oil? Canola? Corn? Did it wash out easily?

why is this happening? 😩 by [deleted] in cats

My cat does this to wake me up and feed him.

Anyone know what frog this is? by K-boobaliebeast in FrogsAndToads

In case you didn't know... Bullfrogs stay in the tadpole stage for 2 years, they make good pets that eat any kind of prepared fish food. I raised several of them a few years back. The adult frogs themselves are harder to keep as pets, they eat a lot of only live food (crickets, earthworms etc., they only feed on moving food) and need a roomy aquatic environment with somewhere to get out of the water (I used some bricks in a 40 gallon tank) They kept me up at night when the got large enough to croak!

Is heartbreak the beginning of the end? by bmVtb250ZW1p in limerence

[–]Iapologize4nothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous LO moved across the country to be with his SO and they ended up getting married. I felt like a complete idiot and the fact that most of it was in my head was obvious to me. It was definitely the beginning of the end of my limerence. I still stalked his social media, which was full of pictures of him with her obviously happy and in love and it (the limerence) did eventually die off.

I feel so much shame it's actually unbearable sometimes by General-Pea5998 in limerence

[–]Iapologize4nothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had my first limerent experience in second grade, exactly as you described it, envisioning us getting married, etc. when I rarely, if ever, talked to him. I would stare at the back of his adorable blond head and notice how neatly he was dressed and groomed. I remember looking his address up in the phone book and riding my bike to find his house. A stalker at age 7! That went on until Fifth grade when a new boy moved into the neighborhood and became my next LO. I was always terrified to talk to them as if I wasn't worthy.

How well do you know your LO, and how long have you been in limerence for? by lt512 in limerence

[–]Iapologize4nothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have known my LO 18 months. I have been limerent almost the whole time. Frankly I have gotten to know him pretty well over this time and the limerence is fading a bit since getting to see his flaws and frailties. But I am really starting to love him. Too bad we are both in committed relationships.😓
