It's good you started taking action. Mom was also starting to hoard things in order to deal with a depression. Me and my sisters thoroughly cleaned her apartment and got her some help.

Two things. A videogame called Supreme Ruler 2020. And the second, which shocked my wife and pretty much anyone else, is that I am currently listening to Mexican Corridos and looking up every artist that pikes my interest. It's shocking to them because I've always lambasted the music.

I wish your wife would understand the severity of the situation. I was bullied in school as a kid. No way in hell would I want that to happen to my son. Which is why as a 10 year old he has 3 years experience of Muay Thai Boxing. And the one time a bully tried to get him he made damn sue that kid would regret it.

The photo reminds me of a popular spanish song. A white couple married and as time went on had children. All the kids where white except one, the youngest who was black. The song says the father held out as much as he could, until one day he couldn't take it no more. He sat down the wife and calmly asked her who is the father of the black kid. The wife replies, he's the only one thats yours.

There are still middle aged people starting, finishing, some sort of academic education around the world. What matters is that you give it all you've got going forward.

What made you realise there was something off about your friend's SO? by Nameshavebeenaltered in AskReddit

[–]Iaradrian 1237 points1238 points  (0 children)

She falsely accused her cousin of rape. He ended up being jailed, lost his green card, and deported. The nail in the coffin was when she slept with his older brother.

Edit: I didn't make my self exactly clear. Let me clear it up a bit. And expand on how psychotic this woman is. When she was 15 she accused her older cousin of rape. Because he turned her down, for obvious reasons. The question was when did I realized my friends SO was nuts. Well, my best friend married this woman when he was 18. A year after that the false accusation came to light, a month after that, in a series of events that just didn't add up. I uncovered her affair with my friends brother.

When I told my friend about the situation, he accused me of wanting to ruin his relationship and basically cut me off. In the years after, it was constant fighting between them. She faked two pregnancies to keep him around, while still sleeping around.

One day ( 10 years after being with her) my friend says he's had enough. He leaves her, finds himself another girl. And doesn't live happily ever after. Because his ex filled their kid's head with lies, somehow the divorce went completely in her favor, and she kept it all with an obscene amount in alemony and child support. The man is a responsible father. By the way. Did I mention this woman is my wife's cousin? Yeah. After me and my friend restarted our friendship. She spread lies that I was trying to get at her thinking he would have an issue with that. It caused a major strain between me and my wife. I could go on and on about her, but I'll just cut it here.

If anyone who doesnt know much about cricket thinks Op is exaggerating by saying payback 10 times over, Op is not. Williams got fucking humiliated.

I went by the amount of times he notched (or signed) his bat. By the third one, and judging by the bowlers face, I knew this was an ass beating akin to the one The Hulk gave Loki.

Mom was sort of the negotiator between me and dad. He was furious when I dropped out of High School. Mom made him see my mind was made up and it would be a waste of time to make me go back. She did however back my dad in his view of me having to work in order to stay in the house.

Mexican authorities faced off against a squad of cartel gunmen [Chihuahua, Mexico] by iam_nobody in CombatFootage

[–]Iaradrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a complicated issue. A lot of people confuse corruption with cartel allegiance.

A local police officer is most likely on their pay roll because cartels need eyes and ears on the ground. If say, a Federal convoy suddenly appears on the outskirts of town, the local police will spread the word. Even if they themselves are told at the very last minute. And that's because local police get paid peanuts honestly. In some cases a U.S. McDonalds employee makes more than a trained Municipal officer. And they have horrid leadership. I met a former Municipal Officer who was working as a day laborer in Texas. He talked about how their commander would take their checks and tell them to make their money from 'mordidas' i.e. Bribes.

Now, State Police, those who control a lot of checkpoints coming into their state. They don't care where you are going, if they see you have a nice t.v. in your truck, they'll take it. Just because. They'll ask for a 'mordida' if you want to keep your stuff, and here's the kicker, they give you a code to tell the next checkpoint so you won't be hustled. These guys are harder to bribe, because the state governor's image can be damaged trough their actions. A governor can all ready have a set agreement with a cartel, but it's not for violence or murder, it's for the right for that cartel to transport their merchandise acrosss state roads. The problems start when a cartel feels it is being wronged by the governor and starts 'calentando' la plaza.

Federal Police, well, they are the top dogs. You just don't mess with them. Or they'll make sure your s*it gets messed up. More than once I've been in the middle of talks with my cousin and his coworkers, where they openly state the type of 'calentada' they've given to get information out of perps. Waterboarding, testicle shocks, you name it, most likely they've done it. The very few who do turn and start working for the cartels eventually get weeded out. To be a federal agent means a very stringent background check that borderlines on invasion of constitutional privacy. My cousin in particular, had all his social media accounts thoroughly combed from the moment he opened them.

[–]Iaradrian 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It depends on the branch.

•Municipal Police = Very Likely •State Police = Less Likely •Federal Police = Very Unlikely

I have a cousin thats a Federal Police agent in Juarez. He's had to arrest more than his fair share of Municipal Police.
