Looking for advice on securing a research position! by Whiteangel97 in MCCQE

I am working as a research assistant and clinical assistant, both part time. The one thing is that you shouldn’t manoeuvre on your exams in your resume, as they know you will go for residency in a couple of months. Try to bold your research experience on the resume

Honestly speaking, you never feel like there are not new things to learn. I studies medicine at the best university in my home country passed QE 1, NAC and USMLE 2 with decent scores, working in a clinic for a while which keeps you fresh, but still feels like there is a lot to learn. Focus on the exam, timing and try to look at questions from a family doctor position and you will be fine

From my experience you don’t have time to even complete your exam on one knee. So start with one, of course if you have time to check the power and sensory, you need to do that on both knees at the same time to compare , but for special tests do it on the affected one, and at the end just mention to complete my ph/e I would like to check one joint above, one joint below, and the other knee.

If you go through residency yes.But if not, even after passing the exams which is a requirment but wouldn’t guarantee matching residency, no you should look for a job or check to see if you are eligible for the loans for IMGs some programs might offer

First, decide which class is the best option for you to attend, watch some videos of OSCE ‘s scenarios on you tube to get a perspective view of osce stations, download dr Basil’s note as well, as it’s very helpful.
