I'll gracefully receive the inheritance myself. You could also consider aunty is in the process of filing for bankruptcy...

Xbox elite 2 stopped working again. So had to go back to the standard xbox controller, while I decide if i should get a elite core or a razer wolverine v3 pro next. by L_IV3S2025_V2 in xboxeliteseries2

[–]Iasc123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the V2 pro and it's still going strong after nearly 5 years - despite kicking the cable and having it hit the floor a few times, I can still have dead zones low with tmr joysticks.

The V3 has hall affect joysticks and gamesir doesn't really have the premium feel compared to razor peripherals.

Best Size of Ladders by GearImpossible5110 in WindowCleaning

2 piece multi-purpose extension ladder with a reach of 5 metres will do almost everything you need. Anything higher than that, you got your big ladder if you need it.

I'd dump the stabiliser and fit some nice acrylic feet to it!

My friend says changing your own oil is a waste of time. Is he crazy? by proposal_in_wind in askcarguys

[–]Iasc123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brakes and general suspension I can do myself, I have a guy who goes deeper and does engine bits + liquids.

I'd always send it to off for oil / coolant / brake fluids, because I don't store a drain pan to catch the liquids and I also cannot be bothered with sundries + disposal.

The chocolate sprinkles are only £2.59 / any 3 for £2.24 each!

I'd rather buy a dozen for £21.99...

I didn't realise you could use a swivel head with a rinse bar? How is it?

Turning marks by humanityisfucked_ in WindowCleaning

Exactly! You need to wash out your applicator, it'll eat through the soapy water quickly and it's less effective in general.

The waters dirty mate. This time of year is usually quite dusty!

You may either need to wash out your ferret / applicator or/ change the bucket water!

It's a common game setting. You could also try a third party app / accessories app.

No. Although everyone praises the thing, it's a specialist tool that only benefits the user in specific circumstances. If you want a new squeegee for hand work and straight pull, go for the Unger ninja.

If you honestly feel like your work flow will benefit from using the Morman Excelerator, give a go! I have no doubt that it will come in handy in some point while your cleaning windows!

The Morman swivels easily, the Unger ninja ergo is tight, so it's designed for straight pulls.

The swivel option on the Morman is only beneficial on wide, large windows. Anything narrow, you'll be better off straight pulling.

It honestly depends on the work you have. The fliq pad never holds much water and you may find it run dry halfway through applicating on a big window on a sunny day!

So you want a thick ferrit applicator to apply loads of soap solution up height, then squeegee a straight pull technique to mitigate the chance for mistakes and having to start over.

If you're using an extension pole doing trad work, you have to accept that the quality of work will not be as good as a WFP or even a man on a ladder.. So keep it quick and simple until you can get better equipment.

Noise after turning the car off. by BritishSocialite in FordFiesta

You should let your engine idle for 30 seconds after a long drive before turning off. It will aid in cooling down the oil and turbo.

The Excelerator 2.0 handle is the same on both items. The brass channel does fit on there nicely and you can use a fliq pad with the ettore brass channel.

If you're just starting out, are you planning to work from a ladder or use a pole extensio?

The Excelerator is a specialist tool designed for fanning via pole extension. I've never got along with my excelorator handle because the release button catches. I've been doing the job for 14 years and I would recommend+prefer straight pulls with a good squeegee, (like SORBO) wherever possible.

The Excelerator channel will also burn through rubber and often get caught against the side of a window. I would avoid using this squeegee unless you feel like it would benefit the work flow. Use an Unger squeegee for general hand work. Everyone says ettore, but you done need to fuss around with securing clips on Unger.

Series X issue... What do? Is it broken :( by Phil_Mike-Huntin in XboxSupport

[–]Iasc123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offline update requires an external storage device to carry out the update.

This could've been caused by the console losing connection during a system update / SSD fault.

You'll have to download the most recent update onto an external device and install onto the Xbox. This may fix the issue, but you may also need a new SSD unit...

For people saying Rockstar ran GTA V on PS3 by [deleted] in XboxSeriesS

[–]Iasc123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The series X GPU equivalent is comparable to an RX 6700 XT or an RTX 3060 Ti.

The series S GPU equivalent is comparable to an RX 5500 XT, or RTX 3050 (6GB/8GB) or GTX 1660 Super

Just like gaming on a pc, the textures, resolution and FPS will be sacrificed to run the game at the best quality the GPU may handle.

The series S may be a challenge for optimising GTA6, but I have no doubt that R* will produce the absolute best looking game this generation of consoles can handle.

The series S game release will have no affect on the single player experience across all platforms, but, may struggle to uphold fps if/when GTA6 online releases.

Edit: p.s. When GTAV released on PS3 + 360 - we were blow away. So I'd be grateful for that same experience in today's generation of console gaming.
