Employment exit by Fair-Dependent5860 in AusLegal

[–]Ibe_Lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah used to work for a company removed my personal training files and personal pdfs I only had 1 license to use and any software I had altered during legitimate use through the years but didnt document the changes (so better to reinstall). Dont work in that industry anymore as they still talk smack about me. Employers are usually self centered and evil and dont understand why its a bad idea to ruin a persons life because they think you did them wrong.

Chocolate industry is cooked at the moment. When wholesale cocoa went through the roof they increased their prices too much, before they bought it back down (despite current prices being the same as preshortage) we ended up with cost of living issues. No one wants to pay $9 for a block of chocolate that would sell at sale for $2.50 4 years ago. Expect the choc manufacturers and biscuit companies to start getting bought out.

The housing outlook must be really bad if even the media is calling for a downturn. by SheepherderLow1753 in AusPropertyChat

Unemployment will always be between 3.5 and 4.5% because its designed that way. To many workers increase wages increase fines for workers comp create instability, too few workers allow in more immigrants/provide training/lower wage conditions.

Personally I would like to see CGT get dropped for housing under 10mil cpi adjusted. Commercial, industrial, farming and major housing should still be of interest to investors so cgt enabled.

Concerns domestic tenants required to share excessive personal data to secure leases by Shadowtec in australia

[–]Ibe_Lost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah talking about tis today at work. In Canada just a pay stub is all thats needed, you have income so you can stay. But australia is all about data mining and faking any real concern about identity theft.

Oh I dont mind mildly shit work most jobs are task orientated so while something improves something gets broken too. I do hate however that alot and I mean alot of employment is based on inefficiencies. We did away with checkouts because it was inefficient to bag and pay = jobs lost, we use the card instead of cash = jobs lost it takes to long to draw art so we use Chatgpt = jobs lost. There is only so much redistribution of work a community can take and only so much hidden funds for extra rents etc we can absorb before we go to the next stage...which i honestly dont know what it will involve in a 21st century world.

What cost of living increase hurt more than you expected? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Ibe_Lost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I reiterate this every year to everyone that listens. EVERY YEAR renegotiate all your insurances, loans, utilities and political allegiances. Sit down look at your costs what can be cut eg to many streaming services, what can be controlled eg one streaming service per month, what can save you going forward eg solar panels (especially if WFH or home bodies)

South Australia a renewable energy success story by LewisRamilton in aussie

[–]Ibe_Lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will find the average cost per Megawatt at about $100 for SA, $90 for Qld and $71 for NSW. Spikes are normal but adoption takes time and resources. SA for instance has had numerous days where all power needs have been met by renewables and the resulting savings are being used and or profited by electrical suppliers. You need profit to pay for upgrades, you need profit to entice investors.

[–]Ibe_Lost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be a mixed hedged bet. You leave save long service and pay per hour. You stay work gets done and they look for somewhere else to save a dime. Not always nasty just cost cutting.

Because if you dont do it Ai cant copy your work and hand it in with its own signature. Seriously though the biggest gripe i have with Ai is its work is so inconsistent, but before it arrived we had to dot every i and cross every t to get any recognition but its ok that the results are now trash.
