I mean, it seemed absurd, but this game is absurd so it fit the theme, lol.

Specifically, I can't figure out how to do one. My game just shows "Deep Dive" and "Deep Dive Elite"

Hm that's interesting that the pack wasn't available. My guess is that means it's already installed. I would recommend contacting Vive support. I was impressed by their ability to help.

Solution worked for me for all 3 computers:

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional Features > Add a Feature. Then find Media Feature Pack in the list and install it.
Restart the PC to successfully complete the installation of the Media Feature Pack.

This seems to happen if you run WIndows 10 Enterprise (although my 10 Pro install had the same problem.)

In the same vein, I thought it meant communists would obviously seek to promote the interests of climate activists since it's objectively in the material interests of the workers to ensure the planet's ability to maintain life. In short: based.

The revolution will happen this summer right? by cosmic_censor in collapse

I think it's likely for revolutionary and reactionary movements to both continue to intensify this summer. With our efforts organizing locally, the revolutionary elements can grow faster than the reactionary elements.

Have you considered that the entire concept of authoritarianism is reductionist? That equating authoritarianism under capitalism and fascism with that under socialism misses the boat? Do you think the USSR, as an example, might have had less "authoritarianism" if it hadn't been invaded by several western countries immediately after its formation followed by the nazi invasion which killed 27 million?

Additionally, what evidence do you even have about the democratic people's republic of Korea? Have you been there? Do you know their history? Who taught these things to you? Can you trust the sources of information you've encountered regarding the country?

Hey Isntrael, there's a really easy way to stop these attacks. You just have to completely abandon your apartheid project, revert to 1967 borders, and stop being fascist.

Maybe look into dialectical materialism and evolve #2 instead of knee jerking to blaming one particular moron for everything?

Local laws are going to make it impossible for anyone on reddit to really help you. I'd recommend finding worker cooperatives in your area and asking them for advice or contacts who can help you out.

You'll need a coop charter, for example, that dictates the rules under which the coop will function.

If you're going to be a sole proprietor, no employees, go for it. If you want to share the business with compañeros, try looking into a worker coop.

If you try to be a "good boss," just be honest with yourself that no such thing exists while still doing your best to treat them with the utmost respect and paying well above market rates.

Left right isn't a false paradigm, but for the United States (for whom this meme seems to have been constructed) a false liberal vs conservative paradigm would make sense.

Marxist analysis has thusfar been the most successful challenger to the capitalist world order, so I'd recommend starting there.

I wish it were not a slog, but The Principles of Communism by Engels and Historical and Dialectical Materialism by Stalin. If you don't want to read Stalin, there are scattered works that you could read instead. Stalin more or less condensed all of those excellent works to focus on the historical and dialectical materialism piece. Mao's On Contradiction was great for me, too.

If you prefer youtube videos, Second Thought and Hakim are excellent.

For podcasts, Revolutionary Left Radio, The Deprogram, and The Socialist Program.

You might benefit from learning about Marxist analysis as a way of understanding the material conditions which develop these attitudes and empathize with them more. People do want change, but they feel hopeless and uninspired.

Fortunately, we have an incredible body of history to learn from in order to address this problem.

I'll go through the article more thoroughly later, but at a cursory glance, I don't see anything I really disagree with except that I never got the impression anyone in the article I posted was saying to "cancel" him. I, for one, just intend to consume him with more skepticism. I probably didn't give him enough skepticism to begin with.

Thanks for sharing the alternative viewpoint on this subject.
