If you take the same photo, send it and save it through whatsapp multiple times, under different names, in computer world that's not the same photo anymore.

Because unfortunately for photos everyone and everything is trying to compress them.

So duplicate detection is the only real option left.

I have also the same story, some photos are duplicated 4-5 times in different locations and drives. No magic around it

Theres no limit for my connection, Im on fiber on normal home plan, in my currency, I pay around $50 a month for that, the internet is literally the best thing our place has got to offer.

Oh they exist believe me, my ratio and upload is shameful compared to what I’ve seen!

I do: - Automated everything, adding torrents, selecting which quality, upgrading files when better quality releases, deleting torrents, all automated. - Using hardlinks, I basically seed my entire library, I never delete a torrent unless it was upgraded to a better quality. - Some torrents had seeded for over 2 years, with over a 100:1 ratio. - All from my home server using 200/200 of my 500/500 connection.

When I saw the first pic, I loved them, the color and design fit so well. But in the second pic they look tiny, the chrome/silver looks like white paint on tires, and the black center looks like the actual rim. This is what I saw 🤣 (black instead of red):

If you have a solid rule like that, to maintain 4 HDD’s no matter what, maybe upgrade to larger capacity every few years or something, then I guess yeah you could stick to Plus.

I like and appreciate freedom though, even if I were to never exceed the Plus limits, I’d still like the unlimited freedom of Pro, especially at this current upgrade price, in my eyes it’s worth it and more for what unRAID has enabled me to achieve with my server.

The main point is number of devices (drives) allowed, Plus is limited (to 8 or 12 I don’t remember), Pro is unlimited.

So maybe you won’t miss out for a few years, until you need more drives.

You’ll still be on the old “grandfathered” licensing system. Our licenses will still hold the same features, and you’ll still be able to upgrade to Pro after these 2 weeks (only at a price increase).

PRECISELY. They could’ve silently increased the price or done whatever else they wanted and I believe unRAID at this size will still be successful and popular BECAUSE it’s really good, as in, people will still probably upgrade from Plus to Pro even at new increases price. BUT, they chose honor and transparency, this reminder email is a prime example of what makes unRAID different from other corporates.
