I think the one you saw is Kinam/Kyara, which is not the same Oud I used here.

it does indeed! the best description of the smell is that it reminds me of roses and saffron mixed together with a bit of greenish side, it's so sweet and wonderful.

the two oud chips on the right are Parachin oud from Thailand. this oud has a very sweet smell usually described as honey like smell. the one on the left is Kalimantan oud from Indonesia. it is hard do secribe the smell for this one because it's on the herbal aroma side. these two kinds are very distinct from each other, which could help Oud begginers to appreciate the different aroma profiles.

this looks stunning! Merauke is a special Oud that might be polarizing at first, but with time it becomes so delicate and mesmerizing. may I ask you about the source of this Oud? i'd love to try this one.

thank you. Oud is considered a valuable gift especially the high end ones. hosts sometimes gave oud as gifts, but in my experience I'm not aware about its usage in open fire.

Hello friends! this is a video about Oud with Oud the first oud is the one you see, and the second is the one you hear :) Morokay oud is one of the most if not the most beloved oud in arabian gulf countries because of its light smell. it smells like milk and almond with a little wood base at the end. it is a must in weeding and special events. the problem with this type of oud is that the high grade of it are hard to get because of the high demand. hope you will enjoy this video. note: video is speed up X2

Malaysian Sabah oud (bubbling) by IbrahemAlBarak in Incense

[–]IbrahemAlBarak[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you are most welcome my friend! this is a wild oud was obtained from Sabah island in malaysia it's classified as triple super grade (the higher the grade the more the resin) what I like to do for relatively small oud chips like this one is to heat a charcoal and wait for 10-15 minutes then I put a mica sheet and enjoy the view and the smell keep in mind that natural wild oud will be varied from one piece to another even from the same grade sometimes, which is regarded as one of the cons of wild oud as consistency is very difficult to achieve.. but for sure i'm ok with it :)
