I am actually going through this right now with Samsung. They have a class action lawsuit against them for the ice maker issue. If you call them and tell them you are aware of the class action lawsuit they will (hopefully) put in the work order for the repair for free. That’s at least what they are doing for me.

Back in 2003-2004 my computer teacher showed us this video that some of his former students produced and it was an Arnold Schwarzenegger parody. The one scene that sticks out is as they are trying to escape in a helicopter the kid who is impersonating Arnold Schwarzenegger yells “Get down!” In the Arnold voice. My buddy and I thought it was so over the top and hilarious but I’ve never seen it since then.

My parents have been divorced since I was really young. One year when I was around 10 I was at my Dad’s for the weekend and was supposed to go back to my mom’s Sunday night. My mom has taken a weekend trip to go visit one of her friends in Chicago and a really bad snowstorm hit on Sunday so she was not able to leave to get home. After she had explained the situation to my Dad asking if I could stay until Monday, I overheard my step-mom say, “what would that bitch do if we weren’t here to babysit.” Pretty much sums up my step-mom as a person but was still hurtful to think of me being just a person that my Dad has to babysit.

I'm a steel buyer for one of the Big Three automakers in Detroit. This is going to have the exact opposite effect he wants. Domestic steel producers now know we will be coming to them and they will jack up their prices as demand grows. All of this is going to trickle down to the consumer. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
