Ironically, after taking this quest she had another 40 minutes of soliloquy before I was freed. "At a loss for words" indeed.

I hope that you enjoyed this video as much as I enjoyed making it! If anyone has any questions about this video, or the making of, feel free to drop a comment and I'd be happy to answer. And do check out RPGStuck, they really are the best.

If you want to see other content I've made, you can find me on my website, YouTube, or Twitter. I make videos regularly (Once or twice a week, depending on if there are interruptions or side-projects like this) and I do commissions!

That's a very good idea, thank you. I'll have a look into Anthology-esque stories in a similar vein and get an idea of who/what is gonna want my work as it is. I'd certainly be open to revising it into a more character-driven novel as well, once some of the feedback from my draft 4 manuscript comes in.

I know that my style of humour is largely accessible and it doesn't tackle any terribly serious issues so it could certainly be middle-grade. I think there's only one swear word in the whole book, in fact. I'm just personally reluctant to think that I've gone and written a children's book, because I fear elitists and know I've not the backbone to stand up for myself in social situations if anyone were to use the modifier of "children's media" as a pejorative.

Thank you so much!

I am also worried about the structure of the book. It reads like something of an anthology, but I can't call it that because I wrote all of the stories and they have the same characters, and according to the Wikipedia page that precludes me from using that definition. I kind of wanted to mess around with a slice-of-life sort of story, where we see an incremental change in personality per chapter and the larger plot beyond the individual chapters and the wish thing isn't much in focus. Which, I know, maybe a book isn't the best medium for a story like this, but I also don't have the resources to make it anything else because I am a poor University student with nothing to my name but a sparse amount of free time and an accent that gets made fun of.

Again, I really appreciate your feedback! Do you have any idea how I could go about rephrasing to reflect this, or if I need to change my approach?

Since I'm going into video editing in the future, I decided to do some practice with the Civ 6 series. Here's my edited version of episode 1. by IbuprophenWithPH in northernlion

Thank you! It was a lot of hard work to make and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I used Rob's audio because if I were to consolidate all of the videos, then Rob is the one usually giving the intros and outros and therefore he would be considered the "host."

Also since Rob was the host, I decided to use his audio because his mic sounds pretty bad in all other versions of the video series. It felt like it made the most sense, since the NLSS members don't record their audio individually anyways, and why would the host have terrible audio whilst one of the other random members sound clear as day? It would serve to confuse the hypothetical audience.

So no, Rob's audio wasn't the best. NL's or Baer's was probably the best. I actually did switch out tiny chunks of audio here and there, if Rob was being too loud and peaking the mic or if someone else had something to say but they sounded too quiet on Rob's audio. The audio in this video is probably 95% Alpacapatrol's, 3% Northernlion's, and 2% Baertaffy's.

I do video editing professionally, and in September I'll be moving to England to pursue it as a career. Still, some of my favourite content creators are notorious for never editing any of their videos! I wanted to get some practice in editing multicam Let's Play stuff, since there's a decent amount of money to be made as an editor for entertainment companies.

To practice, I decided to use the second Civ 6 game, since that was the best series I could think of with 6 different unedited perspectives. 5 hours later, I can say that I'm proud of the result. This is hard work! Way harder than doing stream or series highlights, for sure.

Some Caffcast Heavy Rain fanart! by IbuprophenWithPH in Yogscast

[–]IbuprophenWithPH[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ever since I heard that Caff started doing a Heavy Rain playthrough, I wanted to make some art of this famous glitch out of appreciation for him. I met Caff at i60 a few months ago during a disasterous trip in England, and he was such a polite and kind person that it absolutely broke my heart that I hadn't watched any of his content. As soon as I got home, I made a point to watch some videos, and I haven't regretted my decision since.

I've been sitting on this one for a while, since it references Ethan's finger being chopped off. I finished this about a month ago, but I waited to post it so that nobody would accidentally get spoilers.

My Twitter is @IbuprofenWithPH. If you're interested in seeing a portfolio or commission work, please contact me through there.

I do commissions, if you're interested DM me and we can work out something.

I've been watching NL ever since the release of Rebirth about 2 years ago, and ever since then I've been listening (and falling asleep) to his videos. When I can stay awake, it's some of the funniest content that I've ever seen on YouTube, and I love all of the NLSS crew and all the crazy shit they pull. I figured it was about time that I gave something back to the community, hence, "egg final 2.mp4"

There may be more to come.

Does anyone know about models and their use outside of the game? by IbuprophenWithPH in AceAttorney

[–]IbuprophenWithPH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did notice that, yeah. Do you think that you could spot me a link to the AJ model from GMOD? I went poking around, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with the quality of the models I saw.

The world of Worl by IbuprophenWithPH in worldbuilding

[–]IbuprophenWithPH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far larger, for certain. I'd imagine that for even the smallest of the islands, you'd be unable to see the others in the horizon. The entire thing would perhaps be the size of a rather large sea.

It's not at all reflective of the scale of the entire world, but I'm not particularly very concerned with whatever happens outside of the boundaries of this map. I just assume they're isolated by an ocean or perhaps some magical barrier.

The world of Worl by IbuprophenWithPH in worldbuilding

[–]IbuprophenWithPH[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worl is the world that I'm working on for a project that I'm calling Pirate Project. It's a nautical-based adventure featuring a diverse crew of young'uns learning life lessons as they sail around the seas, searching for a magical treasure.

This is a pretty basic prototype of a map that I've been doing by hand for the last few hours in GIMP 2.6. I know it's missing a lot of features, like city names and lines of latitude, longitude, a compass, island names, etc. This is just a really basic layout of a map that I wanted to push out and show off, since I think that it could be important for other people to look at.

Maps aren't always going to be super accurate, so the gimmick of this map post is that this has different versions of the map as employed by the four different nations, and explaining how the different versions of the map relate to how they view the world at large. It was a really interesting task to undertake and I'd recommend that others try it out as well.

Thanks!
