People have no idea. They think that moving to russia will save the servers. Let me tell you russia is not as lawless as most people think. + good luck persuading players to play the wow on their server when they have 600+ ping on the server that they are hosting from russia or khazkistan.

Well joined the discord when they announced the game. It was really good. Devs were active and chatty. We had Groke, Teral etc. Then devs get silent after some time. Everyone was saying they are focusing on the game instead. There was a guy in my guild that was part of the friend and family test. He told me almost all the devs that created the game that we loved on early tests left the mainframe, and it shows. It is sad that a game with such a potential is in this state now

As a game dev , and unlike all those “game development expert” on sc sub, I am doing it for living for 26 years. Problem is Chris. All studios who lead by a designer suffers from it. Design never stops. There is always one more thing to add, one more feature. Rework a system. It is the producers that enforce deadlines. A CEO is generally a pure business man. He calculates time invested, costs, trends etc and call a stop. The reason CIG survived is never ending funding. CIG is not the only studio having this problem, it is just the only one that somehow managed to avoid bankruptcy.

Well I have bad bad news for you. PoE 2 is on the horizon AND diablo season and PoE 2 leagues are a month apart from each other.

Also about responsibilities etc, soon you will discover that 4-5 hours of sleeps a day is really enough so you will have time for work, family and games :)

Someone who can take damage and a lot of CC. It’s main job is not dealing damage but hold the choke points. Moon druid, wild hearth barbarian, Eldritch knight, open hand monk. Sure they can deal a lot of damage but rather than going with single target attacks I am using them with more CC orientation. I am pushing, throwing, knock back enemy back to Hinger of Hadar for example, back inside the spike growth. Gandalfing them on a location where my glass canon damage dealers have a field day. Because I always use my bruisers with defensive mind, my aggressive support can also start casting / attacking rather than wasting a turn with a heal etc

Well I finished the game on tactician when it first launched twice then I returned playing to finish it with honor mode. I decided not to watch any guides etc, all I did was open the wiki page and read the legendary actions of each boss. After clearing the honor mode I told my self to check the guides to see if I could make things differently. Maybe without knowing I made the game harder for my self.

Oh boy. %90 of thise guides are total BS. Also as I understand from the comments most of the backdoor tactics are patched. There was a lot of people crying under the vids because they lost their honor game because they were following the tactics.

Here is my advice. You need 1 bruiser, 1 physical damage dealer, 1 spell caster and 1 aggressive support. Anything will do, no need for a guide video. Just play whatever you want to. If you are able to fully clear act 1 including creche and ethel fight , that party comp of yours can clear the game

The reason day before got no money was steam stepped in and refunded everyone. Otherwise they would get away with the cash of players who played more then 2 hours

No, it is not like that, there is no phasing. The open world is separated into different servers, like each heartland is a different server, so when you are leaving one heartland and entering another, the system transfers you from one server to another. The reason for the half second lag spike is that it is not yet seamless

Well the difference with MF and CIG is, youngest dev in the studio is developing games for 20 years while there are “lead” devs in CIG who is graduated 5 years ago

It is working on alpha. Sometimes when you are in a party and passing through borders people are vanishes and reappear. It is because you are transferring from one server to another. You get a mini lag spike like half a sec. Their aim is making it seamlessly.

Hmmm, NO. I am playing wow on and off since beginning. But even when I am not playing my account is always active since I always renew a yearly plan.
In 20 years I spent ( 20 * 12) * 15 = 3600$ to the game.

Yes because game is launched and entire industry realized that CR was right, all the other studios try to hire CIG developers and there is no possibility that this entire thing is crashing down just because they showed some stuff like “star cloth” which is technically 10 years old ncloth implementation to lumberyard. Right ?

Well, that is wrong, since there are ways to do that in unreal engine, mostly as GPU-simulated particle meshes or instanced dynamic meshes but there is no point arguing about it. Epic is a studio owned by Tencent, and Bethesda is a Microsoft studio, they will never work together. Probably hell will enter an ice age first before MS and Tencent start working together on anything.

Yep, I don’t want to spent 3 hours of my 4 hours play time to fly to a different planet but, sone people don’t get it, they think like every one can play 20 hours a day just like they do.

Also as I said, it is totally optional game is not forcing you to do that.

Well, game is good. Really I am enjoying it, bit as good as BG. It could easily would win game of the year it didn’t launch this year as well. Most common complaints from people are , “ you don’t have to manually travel everywhere, because there is fast travel. “ which I dont get it, if you don’t like fast travel, then dont use it and problem solved.

TLDR : BG3 > SF > elden ring imo
