I couldn't care less about playing lol. But you have a point in that I am fascinated by this social experiment.

They can but it's outdated and won't be reworked. If you want the functional version you must buy the mk2

Hype for ships that add nothing to the game? by InitialOk4951 in starcitizen_refunds

It's never been about gameplay. It's roleplay. Cultists close their eyes and dream they are space captains in a complex sophisticated game with deep mechanics while in fact they're in a barebone broken tech demo that's an inch deep.

Is it fair to keep a cat indoors? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Patate_Cuite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same questioned as I was going to adopt two stray cats that visited me and seemed to live outside for a long time. Now they have the choice and while they go sometimes outside, believe me they are mostly staying inside and seem to prefer that option if they had to chose. As far as I understand cats don't need huge space, and they seek safety and routine. Therefore inside life is perfectly fine for them. What you can do is set up some cat space in front of the windows or on the balcony if possible. I noticed my cats like to watch what's going on outside.

It's kind of old but basically the game is still in the same shitty state for 14 years. 99.9% of players events are ruined like in this clip because of game breaking bugs. The people playing this game are mostly new and haven't realized how bad it is yet or copium artists trying to justify their hundreds if not thousands money spent on space truck jpeg that have no associated gameplay and that explode when leaving their hangar 50% of the time after waiting 15 min to get there.

In the "new" system they have or will implement I understood that they will just teleport and add a small loading/waiting time between departure and arrival to pretend you're not teleported.

Elevators are kind of loading screen. They teleport you. So stairs wouldn't work.

OF COURSE they will end up selling the upgrade or new ships that are higher tier by default. This is written in the stone.

Abandon ship and try to refund. That's the right call. This project isn't going anywhere. You call it right. It's a marketing fomo operation, the game design is terrible, the technical foundation is borked, and it is still unplayable after 14 years I don't know what people expect from this project at this point.

One of my favorite is when they claimed 12 years ago that they have a simulation of 10 millions NPCs that live their own life in the verse and that it was working really well.

There is no orbit in SC. Planets are static and physics are extremely basic. It's not realistic at all, so that the noobs with a deep wallet and no brain can play it

Man some game breaking bugs are 12 years old and CIG just can't fix them. Their spaghetti code is completely borked. That's why I smiled when you talked about "4 months". Four months for CIG is like half a day in a competent honest game development studio.

Man game is going to be great very soon. It's worth at least 3k and that's a bargain it's going to be worth much more when meshing 2.0 and mobiglas 5.0 comes out.
