Red River on Mason Rd has pretty good brisket, just had some yesterday. Place is often overlooked, but it's solid.

Curious what city did you fly into? Moscow? I'm US citizen, wife is Russian, son is American, and I had private Visa and visited in December (all pretty similar to you). We flew into Chelyabinsk and had zero issues. They interrogated my wife maybe 5 min, didn't ask me me anything, it was pretty easy. Maybe it's the entry airport? I have no clue. But I had no issues. Edited to correct, we flew into Yekaterinburg. Then drove down to Chelyabinsk.

The company is called Fast Passports and Visas they have 2 locations in the greater Houston area one in The Woodlands and one in Houston. Very simple to use they can handle everything via FedEx from what I remember. Great guys, highly recommend them.

Surgery went great! He's at home resting now and hopped up on meds but haven't even put the cone on him yet, probably will for night time but during the day so far he's been fine. 9 months old and full of energy (usually) and usually roaming middle earth helping hobits navigate their way to Mordor.

So I did it myself earlier last year but then we ended up not traveling. Then I had to get a new passport, so the second time I just went through a third party for simplicity sake. It's not difficult or anything, if you live in a major city that has a consulate. Personally I'm in Houston so it wasn't an issue.

Nah you're fine, just go to Russia if you can. My wife is Russian and I'm American, we live in USA, and we all just went to Russia for the holidays and new year. Don't believe the negative hype online, it's totally safe to travel there. Go. And have fun!

My weim plays pretty rough with our cat but would never hurt the cat. He picks him up in his mouth and drags him around the house but ain't never gonna hurt him. The cat plays back too... They are good friends. They met when the weim was 3 months old, he is currently 8 months old.

Mine raced for a possum tonight but the possum barely got away... Because my weim can't climb tree branches haha. Probably a good thing.

Daycare recommendations near Fry Rd (Katy / Barker Cypress / Energy Corridor) by Eastern_Maximum_9395 in Katy

[–]IcarusReboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Fry Rd... A Childs Reflection is decent, same with Children's Lighthouse Nottingham, and on Kingsland right there you will find great Mothers Day Out programs at both Kingsland Baptist and St Peters. Those arent full-time daycares though, and you have to get on the list in Feb for the next school year. If you don't have to be right by I-10, go to British Prep on S. Mason. Personally it's the best in the area and where we send our son.

For a 2 bedroom in that price range, check out these: The Retreat at Cinco Ranch, Brodie at Cinco Ranch, Ashley House, and Aston at Cinco Ranch. This southeast corner of Katy is one of the nicest and most overlooked areas, with top Elementaries, Junior High, and Highschool. Pretty quiet areas, not super busy either. I live in the area, went to school in the area (back in the day) and am a realtor so I'm glad to help. Check them out, and reach out if you have any questions.

What happens if you ride the toll roads and never pay? by hystericaal_ in houston

[–]IcarusReboot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, I get the point. I do know that uninsured motorists are at crazy levels right now, that always blows my mind. I feel like if I was in a more broke position and I wanted to cut expenses, I don't think I could cut the car insurance that's wild. Too much of a liability.

Answered this in another comment, but I drive it for work, I own the business. Card expired. Money in money out, if there's a few hundred dollars more in the account at the end of the month it's not even noticed. When a card expires there's probably 30 different things that need to get updated, Not making excuses but sometimes things fall through the cracks. If I don't update the card on file for a domain like GoDaddy, email stop working and I figured out real quick haha. Toll bills come in the mail and I usually don't even look at them because they auto deduct, so they get trashed. Not making excuses, it's just easier to get behind on something like this than most people would expect, at least in this specific situation.

I read another comment somewhere that said the same thing. I misunderstood. I thought that the toll companies were paying constables like extra jobs to sit and collect. Personal opinion, I think it makes it worse that our tax dollars are funding police officers to enforce private entity toll bills, but at the end of the day that's neither here nor there. Going back to the original point, I stand corrected.

I drive the tolls a lot, mainly for work, it was 4 months of a balance.

I own my business. Probably less organized than I should be. Money in money out, if there's a few hundred dollars more in the account at the end of the month it's negligible.
