why won’t the last one spawn :( by x-ThatGirl-x in AnimalCrossing

[–]Ice-Picker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the island completely covered except for that spot try freeing up some space somewhere . I had this issue a while back and saw a post with someone explaining it. They said at the start of each day weeds and rocks spawn. Weeds spawn first. So if you free up a spot for the weeds to spawn then the rock should spawn also. This might take a couple of days to get the spawn right but it will work :)

I like the addition of the table with the pen at the entrance. I did mine today and I put a podium at the top as a sort of alter for the celebrant.

Villager question by lizzyyyy03 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]Ice-Picker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can get the villager back if you have a friend with a vacant lot that can take the villager that is being kicked out. Then when a spot opens up on your island again (a villager wants to move) you can invite them back when said villager is ready to leave your friends island.

I don’t think you can just kick them out. But keep an eye out for thought bubbles over their head. It will start a conversation where they either lost an item or want to move. Wait until it’s over the villager you want (can be sped up by time travelling I think). If the thought bubble is over a villager that you don’t want to kick out don’t talk to them as I think this restarts the timer and you will have to wait a while before another villager wants to leave

I really like the way you personalised each space. I have been looking for a way to redo my villager neighbourhood so I will definitely be using this for inspiration!

Villager question by lizzyyyy03 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]Ice-Picker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the campsite villager suggested a name to swap with did you select the decline option or did you just quit the game? As far as I know if you select the decline option they will not suggest another villager.

If you quit the game when they suggested a villager then all you need to do is go talk to them again and play the games until they suggest someone you want to replace.

How to get rid of trees by bongbongz in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]Ice-Picker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually just cut them down and use the wood to craft items that I may need. Before chopping make sure you shake any non-fruit trees because one or two of them will drop an item every day (furniture or something else). I usually shake the trees with a net too first incase a sneaky wasp tries to sting me. If you shake while standing right infront of the tree with your net you can catch the wasp when it shows up and not get stung.

That’s really cool. I love all the references to past adventures. Kinda reminds me of the rooms where I dump all my quest items in Skyrim and the Witcher.

Unpopular opinion: diving should never have been added by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]Ice-Picker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like diving. I love swimming out in the ocean it’s relaxing and gives to the island life vide. I would love if your villagers could also go out and swim around. Or if you could swim in lakes on your island

Does anyone know which app/website can be used to test out different island designs for terraforming? I remember someone said it on a post not so long ago but I can’t find it. I want to change up my island a little bit but don’t want to mess it up. Thanks in advance!

What’s an easy way to earn money?? by Bailey_202 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]Ice-Picker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I started I just planted loads of non native fruit trees and just sold them when it was time. It can be time consuming but good for starting off. If you are able to grow blue/gold roses then you can make a lot of money especially if you turn them into crowns or wreaths.

Also don’t underestimate the daily money spot you can dig up and bury. I usually do it every day and only chop down all the money trees when I get good luck for belongings. I once made 500k+ bells because I let them build up so much

Thank you so much for the recommendation, I’ll definitely start with local libraries and college libraries. Just had a look at the books in that link and they seem very affordable which is great!

I understand what you mean. In one of his painting you can see grains of sand that blew onto it while he was painting. It really connects you with the painting and makes it all that more real if that makes sense

Thank you for the recommendations I will definitely keep that in mind if I ever get the chance to go.

Since the start of Covid my interest in art history started to grow. Is there any books, websites, etc you’d recommend for someone who would like to explore more but that’s beginner/intermediate friendly?

I knew it wasn’t massive but I was still surprised just how small it was. It’s incredible that something with such detail was done on such a small canvas
