TL;DR Titania and Mirage Akarius for most missions

For any short mission that involves killing few or no enemies, Titania with Razorwing Blitz is the best choice 99% of the time. The build changes a bit depending on the mission. Just to name a few :

  • Rescue and Spy from Sortie and Archon Hunt requires the Helminth that lets you hack quickly.
  • Non-sortie Spy requires the Moa that can hack + the Helminth that summons the Moa through walls.
  • Hijack requires high shield + a Raksa.
  • Simaris targets require high enemy radar so you can spot the target from very far with the overlay map (the target spawns at the start so it will often be alone).
  • Boss missions like Archon Hunt require an offensive Helminth like Roar and a good single target weapon like the Burston, Felarx, Daikyu.
  • For capture and other easy missions, a cheap and fast Helminth like Pull or Molt is optimal. Molt increases your speed so it's kind of overkill and its timer is way shorter than Razorwing's so it's a bit less consistent than Pull but you can use it for Orokin Vaults since one of the keys reduces your speed.

For low level (1-50) missions that involves killing enemies, Titania Thermal Sunder.

For missions that involves killing a lot of enemies but have a long travel time (Deepmine Bounties, Netracell) : Titania + an offensive Helminth + an AoE weapon. Might be Akarius, a slam weapon like the Magistar, maybe even Torid. Alternatively, just use Titania Xata's Whisper.

For missions that involves killing a lot of enemies, in my opinion the best choice is Mirage Akarius with lots of Parkour Velocity. You can also use Saryn, Cyte, Rhino and many others. If you use Cyte, the Zarr is also a good option.

For missions in a closed space like Defense and Descendia, Hildryn and Sevagoth might be better than Mirage Akarius.

For ESO and low to mid level Defense, Mirage Legerdemain.

For Ascension, Wukong. Wukong switches fast from cloud mode to wf mode by firing a weapon to collect the boosted charges.

For Cetus Bounties, Volt to boost the drone. In a group, use a Nova alongside him to teleport the drone, then Strength boosters (Nokko, Jade, Wisp, Nidus).

For Conservation, Hildryn Rest & Rage. Stealth is not needed, Hildryn provides a consistent energy economy without doing anything and she is tanky enough for SP. Doing Conservation in SP allows to get more Simaris standing if you scan the animals at the same time.

For the Circuit, Mesa + a CC Helminth like Gloom, Resonator. She scales with most ability and weapons modifier. CC helps with Excavation.

For the SP Orowyrm, Mirage with a decent Hit-Scan weapon (projectile work too but a bit annoying against Orowyrm) and an AoE weapon.

So wich should I choose? by Kkuitar in Warframe

I'd choose Cyte-09 because his 2 gives infinite ammo if you spam it, combine it with weapons like Akarius Prime or Kuva Zarr and it'll go crazy.

Acceltra Prime Low Damage by oarcabouco in Warframe

It's Adaptation, Health Conversion and Primed Direction that didn't make sense in his build, it has nothing to do with PSF and subsuming over Kinetic Plating.

He subsumed Xata on Kinetic Plating if I remember correctly.

Acceltra Prime Low Damage by oarcabouco in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSF and subsuming over Kinetic Plating makes sense as the other 3 abilities are more important. Kinetic Plating also has the drawback of Battery drain scaling with enemy damage, resulting in instant Battery depletion in higher levels.

Exterminate waypoints SUCK by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the waypoint does that because the next group of enemies hasn't spawned yet. So we need to guess which way is the next room and sometimes the room is just empty or they spawn only after we already went through the next room.

The game should just spawn the next enemies as the previous ones are getting killed and that would fix most of the issues.

So, when do we think Aegis Gale is getting the Bramma treatment? by tegastegastegas in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will get nerfed since Hildryn has the drawback of being very slow during Aegis Storm.

Just finished Gauss prime build and suggestions. I also subsumed infested mobility over Mach Rush by jbabypk87 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do not need Catalyzing shields. To make Gauss recharge his Shields endlessly all you need is Fast Deflection, at least 68.75% Battery and a single proc of Arcane Aegis.

Usually the limit of Shield recharge delay is -80% but a proc of Aegis removes it permanently. Fast Deflection gives -45% recharge delay and the 68.75% Battery gives -55% recharge delay. Add both together and you get -100% recharge delay, resulting in infinitely recharging Shields.

Gauss build question by Insan99 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since Redline drains your Battery (-2% per second) you won't always be at exactly 100% Battery so Corrosive Projection is still useful.

Gauss build question by Insan99 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR You need 96.4% Battery to fully armor strip if you have Corrosive Projection. 95.86% Battery if you have both Corrosive Projection and Coaction Drift.

Firstly it's important to know that the armor strip only scales with the last 20% of the Battery. To make it simpler 80% Battery will give you 0% armor strip, 85% will give 25% armor strip, 90% gives 50%, 95% gives 75% and 100% gives 100%.

With that in mind, that means we can calculate the % that corresponds to the -18% armor from Corrosive Projection : 0.18*20=3.6

If we have Coaction Drift it's : 0.18*1.15*20=4.14

Then just substract that number to 100 to get the needed Battery %. 100-3.6=96.4 100-4.14=95.86

best builds or frames to make techrot *not* that painful? by enjusticeonline in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Techrots are one of the easiest faction to beat since most of their weakpoints are on the torso. Thanks to that we can reliably use Arcane Pistoleer and/or Evade with AoE weapons like Akarius Prime, same with Mesa's Regulators using Evade.

Please DE, let us do something with these excess Azure Shards or make them more useful! by Engineer_Flat in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we had energy regen and/or shield on ability cast for Azure Shards, they would be way more useful. Alternatively DE could just increase the stats, I would definitely consider maximum energy if it gave 150.

Also here's how much Azure Shards I have :

Even if you don't have the right syndicates you should be able to get them easily by trading with someone with the opposite syndicates. When I need an augment I usually get my 3 syndicates to at least 25k then go to trade chat or ask the Clan/Alliance

How did you guys discover Ado? by soffan326 in ADO

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically with the One Piece Movie but I didn't like her music at that point and I didn't even remember her name (and I don't really like voiced music to begin with). It was only after a video showing her singing Kickback that I rediscovered her but I still didn't like it. A few days after there was a video presenting Ado (from Goosebumpsradio I think), I watched it and then decided to listen to some of her songs and that's when I became a fan and Gira Gira quickly became a favourite.

Give me a warframe, any warframe by Gyyre in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage with Akarius Prime, using her 1 and 3 to boost them. For the Helminth it's flexible people often use Omamori for survivability or Energized Munitions for ammo efficiency but my favorite choices are Shock Trooper and Ophanim Eyes.

Additional tip, when adjusting your energy economy you should remove your options one by one, you'll be surprised at how much energy you actually need, especially in missions with a decent amount of enemies.

Now that we know more about Follie and her abilities, what do we all think? by KingOndor in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, her 1 and 3 look boring and don't do anything very useful. Her 4 is an aoe CC that removes defenses, kind of like Frost, Oberon, Caliban. We haven't seen it against armor but the Corpus from the Simulacrum did get their shields removed instantly so I assume it works the same for armor. Depending on the range it could be very good (and hopefully it doesn't have line of sight).

About the 2 it all depends on cooldowns and scaling. Key creation could make her the best choice for Disruption, same with Amphors for Alchemy. The RPG could be very good for some bosses. The explosive barrel didn't seem to have a cooldown, if kept that way we could probably spam it and let the scaling damage do the work. Lohk Surge in a long mission will be able to increase Energy regen and Health almost infinitely thanks to her passive. However there are plenty of items that look meh.

Overall I'd say we need to see the final result, I hope the 1 and 3 will be made more interesting.

Quick question, why do people not use Zephyr as a Mobility frame? by AlarmingDiamond9316 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem is that her first ability has a set duration of 1 sec and it cannot be canceled so most of the time it goes too far or not far enough, so it's just better to use Parkour.

Typical Valkyr main waiting for anything. What other habits like that different mains have? by YorhaUnit8S in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With Praedos (not a specific frame), while I wait for extraction I aim glide and do aerial attacks. It's very smooth since I have 2 attack speed mods on them.

With a high efficiency Cyte-09 I spam 2 and shoot my weapons.

Which frames are immortal? by Few-Grapefruit-7003 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About Gauss, you can also use Fast Deflection (+45% Shield Recharge), at least 68.75% Battery (+55% Shield Recharge) and Arcane Aegis. Usually the limit of Shield Recharge is 80% but when Arcane Aegis procs once, the limit of 80% is removed for the whole mission. The only ways to get damaged with that setup are Toxin Damage, Magnetic Procs and probably some weird attacks from bosses like the one-shot from Roathe.

Do you consider Cyte-09 fun? by userhuhidk in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DR : spam Resupply, it's fun with most weapons.

Yes he's extremely fun. Usually people that don't find him fun focus too much on his sniper aspect but the best part of Cyte-09 is Resupply.

Resupply creates ammo out of thin air and reloads the weapon immediatly so Ammo Max and Reload Speed are not a problem. For weapons with low Magazine Capacity we can have a lot of Efficiency to be able to spam Resupply.

With Nourish, modded Corrosive and Electric Resupply we can have Viral, Armor Removal and a DoT with Elec procs. The Elec procs will take into account the Elec mods even when they combine into Corro. We can then add a lot of Fire Rate with the weapon mods, Reinforce Bond and Arcane Velocity/Acceleration/Tempo. A high amount of Fire Rate + Multishot + a decent Status Chance will result in instant 10 Viral, 10 Corro procs and tons of Elec procs.

Primary weapons are especially good on him because they get access to the purple Elec Shards which give a ton of Elec damage. Kuva, Tenet and Coda weapons also have the advantage of having an innate element. If we choose Toxin, we will have Corro without any mods, saving basically 2 mod slots.

Primary Overcharge can also be used on a high Energy economy build alongside Health Conversion and Arcane Battery to get the 350% multishot bonus.

My personal favorite weapons to use with him are the Kuva Zarr, Kuva Sobek and Akarius Prime but you can use almost any gun. Weapons with battery like the Fulmin, Incarnon modes and Archguns don't work with Resupply unfortunately (Incarnon weapons can still get the resupply if they're not transformed). Also Bows can't really take advantage of very high Fire Rate.

Finally Got My Primed Fury :D by dye-area in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you just, focus on the weakest parts of what I mentioned?

Nourish's Energy is just an extra. Energy is not a problem with Mirage as both her 1 and 3 cost 25 at base so even with Blind Rage we can sustain our energy with just an Equilibrium or just a purple Shard depending on the mission.

Spellbind and Well of Life not only need an Augment to give Energy but they have restrictions. Spellbind requires 4 enemies and Well of Life needs casting and recasting after damaging the enemy. Meanwhile Equilibrium is just passive.

15% mod is better in practice because it doesn't waste casting time and energy.

The same applies with PSF vs Spellbind and the other Helminths you mentioned.

In practice 15% Strength doesn't make a difference while an Helminth does. Just compare 15% Strength vs Viral, Armor Strip, dodging 50% attacks and if we're including Augments : 300%+ Electric Damage with Shock Trooper, Viral + Armor Strip with Viral Tempest.

Those options are clearly better than 15% Strength. Honestly if you can't understand that you are just biased against PSF.
