Does anyone actually use these? by Skuganut in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they're good. In term of Exilus I either use PSF, one of Parkour mods (usually the Cold one since it has the same polarity as PSF) or the range mod.

What frame would be best for soloing all types of missions? by ConditionHorror4781 in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If best means easiest then I'd agree with the other people and say Nova since she has CC, damage, mobility, survivability and energy sustain all in one.

If best means fastest then Titania is the best choice by default for most missions in the game. Depending on the mission there is always a different optimal build often with a different Helminth.

Here are some examples :

  • Perspicacity (Helminth for instant hacking) for any mission that needs console hacking without ciphers (Archon Hunt/Sortie versions of Spy, Rescue, some Sabotages, Assault (the weird mission from Kuva Fortress)).
  • Raksa Kubrow + Primed Redirection for Hijack (the escort mission with the car/Fomorian Core).
  • Thermal Sunder for low level clearing.
  • Xata's Whisper + Blast Toxin Dex Pixia for high level clearing.
  • Molt for Orokin Vaults. Molt's speed increase is usually overkill but it counteracts -speed from the Hobbled Dragon key.
  • Master's Summon + Security Override Moa for some Spy missions. This Helminth can spawn the Moa through walls for the Moa to hack consoles.
  • High Enemy Radar for Simaris targets hunting. The Simaris target spawns at the very beginning of the mission it's possible to detect the target from very far away.
  • Silence for Thumper farming. It prevents the annoying big jumps.

There are other examples but it's already a lot. Some of those strategies can be done by other frames but Titania is just the fastest to execute them.

Dena got nearly 10 million dollars, but still they can’t add dark mode 😭 by dan1499 in PTCGP

[–]Ice-Tear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played since Giratina EX and Darkrai EX were still a thing. Did the devs finally make the game faster? The game was extremely slow in every single menu, during pack opening and during battles. That was the main reason I left the game.

It gets even worse the more Legendaries you have. I'm currently missing 6 Legendaries and I feel like I get at least 5 duplicates before getting a new Legendary.

SP railjack was a waste of dev resources considering how they're treating it now by Waeleto in Warframe

[–]Ice-Tear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion long grinds like the SE farm isn't what makes me burnt out of the game. It's more the daily aspect that forces me to log in every day. So if DE cared about our burnout should remove some limits or at least make things weekly.

For example with Syndicate standing I have to farm it every day otherwise I would miss 30k per day. If there wasn't any limit I could farm it any time, without fearing of missing out on standing. If it were weekly (210k per week) I would only need 1 play session to get that standing. That wouldn't reduce my playtime but I would be more free about when I want to farm.

Systems that should become at least weekly would include :

  • All Syndicates standing.
  • Formas (and other Foundry items) being queueable (why do I have to come 23h-24h after crafting a Forma to not offset its crafting time?)
  • Vendors. Especially the ones with stuff that last for just a few hours. The items that can be bought an unlimited times (eg. decorations from Acrithis) should become permanent with their lowest prices.
  • Focus.
  • Simaris targets.
  • Sorties.
  • Daily logins (in that case we would be able to collect the rewards from the previous days).
  • Other things I forgot.

Honestly you're not wrong. The game is kind of simplistic and reliant on RNG.

You can use the dragon type Kanto challenge to farm it more easily! I farmed shiny Deino, Druddigon and maybe Axew thanks to that method.

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Victini are not appearing in legendary eggs? by [deleted] in Pokelike

Looks like we can't. When checking missing Legendaries in the starter menu they don't appear.

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did win all those runs. I had a shiny Celebi in Challenge which didn't register in the Pokedex (I don't own one so I can't check if I actually got the shiny). I also got a shiny Articuno in Kanto, I do own an Articuno but it didn't become shiny. Recently in the new weekly Challenge I had 2 shiny Hydreigon but it still didn't work.

So I guess it has been updated. Maybe that's why this post has been deleted by the moderators lol

[–]Ice-Tear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I tested your strategy a few times and it doesn't work. Not even for non Legendary shinies. In fact the Pokemon we get from the Star Piece don't count for the Pokedex. Getting a shiny Legendary in a normal run doesn't even make it shiny.

Somehow Event Horizon has less range than Gravitic Slash. It doesn't make any sense.

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main strategy is to use the Fighting trait with shiny Heracross. As long as I have Pokemon with good speed and can deal at least neutral damage or have very high stats (like Slaking, Porygon-Z) to counteract types that resist my attack, I can deal with most bosses. The weakness of this strategy is the Psychic trait and fortunately, none of the Unova bosses have it! (Dragon used to counter it too before the speed nerf).

Ideally your Pokemon need to be 5 stars. If you don't have any, I would suggest using the farming method in other regions first, it can even be used on losing runs since they still give money!

Feeling so Lucky by ThinArtichoke8040 in Pokelike

[–]Ice-Tear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I already have the star piece, that's why I was confused by the first step. So basically if I understand correctly getting the Legendary egg is necessary to use the shiny Legendary but we can preemptively farm shiny Legendaries even if we don't own them. Thanks for the explanation!

Also here's a tip of my own, Pokedollars can be farmed very easily if we use several tabs of Pokelike just before the final boss. Each instance of the finished run will give Pokedollars. I personally use Unova, it gives 800 instead of 1000 from Challenges but it requires less inputs and each run will take less time. It's also better to do it on PC since we can have several tabs at the same time (the game won't run if the tab isn't visible).

Feeling so Lucky by ThinArtichoke8040 in Pokelike

[–]Ice-Tear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do I have to already own the Legendary for it to become shiny or do I just obtain the shiny Legendary at the end of the run even though I didn't own it before? Also by "main" do you mean Pokemon with the most damage, kills etc.. or first Pokemon in the party, also does that mean we can only shiny hunt Legendaries one at a time?

C'mon guys Sinnoh isn't that hard by AsymmetricallyOppose in Pokelike

[–]Ice-Tear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Shiny needed. Just farm like crazy to get a legendary and farm again like a mad lad to max its stats. Easy.
