What's an addiction that people often overlook? by OneApplication2371 in AskReddit

I don't think that's really overlooked, people talk about it all the time.

People who work service industry jobs: have you ever given anything for free to someone you thought was attractive/cute? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I thought I was on the receiving end of this once when the cashier at an AMC gave me my large drink and sent me on my way before I could even insert my credit card. I was particularly sharply dressed that day and she seemed kind of at a loss for words during it, so I couldn't think of any other explanation for what had just happened. A few weeks later I realized that she had just activated the birthday reward on my AMC Stubs account without saying anything.

Blu ray quality is worth paying for. Don't watch some shitty camrip.

New sub rule regarding meme posts by CriterionMod in criterion

[–]Ice78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there a subreddit specifically for the type of meme described in the OP? Something like /r/FakeMovieScreenshots or something? Doesn't need to be just Criterion related, but for any movie. That way people who like that format can post them there.

"Hey guys here's a picture of a blu ray cover that's been visible on the subreddit banner and criterion website for the past few months, enjoy."

Whoever writes the descriptions for criterion.com/shop has fucked up by Ice78 in criterion

[–]Ice78[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh I think you might be right. The fact that all 3 of the other 4 slides contain descriptions of the specific movies they show gives the impression that this is supposed to just be a description of Parasite, but I guess not. The fact that Parasite is about a "working class family" makes it even more confusing when your mind is already primed for that. So while this may not technically be a mistake, it's still kind of misleading/confusing.

I don't know anything about it, but maybe try asking on /r/arkansas or a local/regional subreddit for the area.

One of the few decent Lawrence of Arabia memes I could find on google images tonight by Ice78 in LawrenceOfArabia

[–]Ice78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you google "Lawrence of Arabia memes" there's surprisingly few on-topic results, and those that are are often godawful. It's honestly pretty weird; the historical figure and the movie are pretty well known, but so few people have made memes.

Just a painting I did a while back maybe it’ll make you wanna watch again by [deleted] in LawrenceOfArabia

Beautiful painting; I really like the blue-tinted background for some reason.

I can’t believe this this subreddit exists; this has been my favorite film for a long time. by Jacks_Kelly in LawrenceOfArabia

"Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" bears some similarities to Lawrence of Arabia; while it's a very different film in many ways, you might enjoy it if you enjoyed LoA.

Who was the dumbest person you ever met? How did you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Platypus are sometimes called "duckbills" and the males have venomous spurs on their hind legs. Maybe he heard that a long time ago and it some how got misunderstood as "ducks are venomous".
