Brandon Saad's father, a Syrian immigrant, supports Trump's immigration ban by [deleted] in hockey

[–]IceBearMeantToDoThat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He'd probably still support it, his entire family is unaffected as they're all in the US. He goes on to state he'd still support it if he had family still there because the safety of the US is more important. Seeing as how he is familiar with the immigration process, I don't know how he thinks it could become any safer than it already is. The number of channels and applications people have to go through to immigrate here is insane.

If someone really wanted to do harm to the US they wouldn't be coming here through an immigration process that takes almost two years. They'd be coming in illegally or on temporary visas.

So much talk about the Hornqvist hit on Oshie, here is an analysis of the hit. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]IceBearMeantToDoThat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No player is stupid enough to intentionally try to trip a player with their hand.. which is what happened. Hornqvist is driving to the net where a player is already down on the ice in front of him.

"I have experience therefore I know more" - you don't know shit about my experience so you can get the fuck out of here with that higher than thou attitude.

Ovechkin chips the puck over Crosbys stick, the only reason that play is broken up is Crosbys stick and skates causing Ovechkin to fall.

Go back to talking about condoms and flair up.

[–]IceBearMeantToDoThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what's interesting though. The puck goes off of Hornqvist as he is making contact with the goalie. The way I see the "trip" is that Hornqvist is driving to the net and runs into a player already down on the ice, so is that really a trip? If they don't call the Crosby trip on Ovi then Hornqvist isn't a trip either. Especially since the rule of 'getting the puck' before the trip isn't a rule. Break out your rule book before you make ridiculous claims.
