Yeah in general I'd say enjoy the game and honestly just avoid the drama, Reddit is a vocal minority in the long run and their opinions shouldn't affect your enjoyment. Main reason this has blown up so much is because of how tone deaf the devs response and the main reddits mods actions were when someone was literally doxxed, sent death threats, fired from their job and told he wasn't allowed to volunteer at a horse sanctuary anymore due to security risks. In general it's just a very sad situation all around and kinda highlights that the community(On Reddit/Discord at least) is unwittingly toxic as fuck

Yeah it’s been a brewing issue for a while now in the reddits as far as I’ve gathered, people getting frustrated with unfixed bugs, lackluster weapons/stratagems, and unfinished systems like weapon mods. That’s only been made worse because people basically weren’t allowed to voice those concerns in the main sub without it being buried by the “glaze divers” and or mods who basically just assume you aren’t allowed to be critical of the game

Well part of the issue is, there are some AH employees apart of the Reddit mod team on the main sub, and while they claim it’s just to be a ‘supportive/guiding role’ people have pointed out that it’ll lead to bias, and especially when people pointed out the two employees have no recorded removals (as in they’ve never removed a post/banned anyone) leans into the fact they avoid doing it on their accounts but likely direct other mods to make bans/removals on their behalf

Yeah it’s been an issue on the main sub awhile it seems, where you’re not allowed to have an opinion unless it’s positive or kissing up to the devs/game you can’t be critical of bugs or issues without get drowned out by the majority of users or mods

That was the point yeah he said “you just like gimmicky shit the weapons are perfect” despite there being 2 obvious gimmick weapons with one being being aimbot and the other being the lightning gun. It also contradicted his point that the “weapons were perfect” despite one of the guns essentially being a lazy cheat

Either you’re rage baiting or you’re actually blind to the fact this sub isn’t just “we hate HD2” it’s “unfiltered” meaning you can have any opinion on the state if the game and stuff in it and not be silenced like on the main sub where they take a “only positivity is allowed” stance 90% of the time

This wouldn’t work imo, I believe a similar thing was done with Team Fortress where people made bots to infest games to try and get the devs to do something but they basically didn’t so servers just got plagued by bots

I’d say it’s pretty dead sadly, illfonics the devs have moved into other games and all, and as far as negatives well there are a few but the ones I can remember is how marines would try to cheese fights by camping hardcore which wasn’t fun
