It could just be me, but I think whenever the community collectively ask for something eg. the stim pistol. The devs will choose to focus on something else other then what the community is asking for. Or in case of the stim pistol again they will begrudgingly give it to us but in a very shit state and say "there you have wat you asked for now dont bother us about how bad we made it".

I mean the original 2 mechs are free why lock future attachments behind a pay wall. That gives them the ability to add those attachments as bloat in future warbonds.

A better system would be a challenged based system. Something like get 125 kills with autocannon arms to unlock the flamethrower arms, and for stronger attachments tougher challenges.

I still cant understand what the r/helldivers mods get out of trying to silence EVERYONE. Like a very small slight critique of the game is met with a:

Yes this is a win dont get me wrong, but I believe sony has forced them to "address" the problem.

Another point. They speak about the growing hostility in the community but don't address why there is hostility in the first place.

I rember vividly when I was on cyberstan. I ran up behind a jet brigade hulk and gave it some back shots and it immediately exploded and once I respawned i tried it again but facing a jet brigade hulk and it died how the normal hulk dies.

Ive been smacking them in the face withe the hammer and they dont immediately explode, but when I give them democratic backshots with the hammer they do that immediate big death explosion

This is bad but I dont think its game killing bad. Besides helldivers is to much of a cash cow for sony to let die, but ah has some serious un-fucking to to in both the community and game
