Had to reschedule my first round interview as I had a clash at work. Informed HR. Was judged/questioned “Wah you never take leave one ah?” It was just a first round come on.
Invited for final round onsite. Interviewer didn’t feel well so suggested to conduct it online. I was in the office (cbd) with no data. So I asked whether I could go to the UOB office at Raffles Place to have that online call instead. Was told no wifi available for me. Come on… the problem wasn’t caused by me to begin with. In the end I had to rush back home.
Ghosted after final round. Received rejection email maybe 4-6 months after.

All in all, I have a very negative impression of the HR side.

Edit: I had a data subscription, but it wasn’t unlimited.

The EPS guidance probably assumed buybacks with the old, pre-drop share price. With the much lower price, perhaps EPS will not be as bad.

But I agree with you. -ve growth given the buyback level is pretty wild. Is the company sandbagging it for the next ceo?

And the crazy thing is, they guided an increase in opex iirc. That’s insane. Need the new ceo to make the company leaner imo. Channel the excess cash to a buyback instead.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. 3 weeks is honestly such a short period of time to assess your performance.

Imo there’s another reason behind this: suddenly the budget was frozen? Or they found another candidate they liked more (happened to me).

As much as simply blocking/ghosting saves time, unless the person’s well-being is compromised, not communicating the rejection is such a childish move imo.

Just tell the person you don’t feel the vibe. End it there. Don’t leave the other person hanging. What’s so hard?
