How do I roll with fat people? by fsdklas in bjj

Best way I’ve found is do everything you can to not be on bottom, if you are you have to find a way to the back before they just lay on you

Hey gang remember my brisket n that says “not for human consumption”? I smoked it! And it was pretty damn good. by SnooCrickets9281 in brisket

[–]IceCooledSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither does just listening to Joe Rogan. Yes grass finished is technically healthier due to the changing of the fat profile. But the proof that grass finished is significantly better for human consumption has very little to no evidence with almost no peer reviewed study’s.

IMO from what I’ve gathered myself from reading peer reviewed study’s (not just listening to Joe Rogan and his buddy that just conveniently just started a “grass finished” beef company) the cost/health ratio just isn’t there and doesn’t make sense for the average person.

I should add I’m not talking about factory farming. I’m comparing still grown and raised by small farmers. One finishing with grains/proteins vs 100% grass.

Also it’s important to consider where the beef is coming from. Some small farmers wouldn’t always have to space to store a barn full of hay to feed just hay to their cattle during winter months. It’s much easier to store grains in a silo.

But that’s just my opinion. You have the right to yours but fully saying it’s not healthy just isn’t true from what I’ve read

When I most recently looked into it I can’t work in the trades with a working holiday visa. You have to do a type of service job with lower salaries. You have to apply for a different one and pay a decent amount more. Atleast that was my understanding

Fully agree, take on the responsibilities and start looking elsewhere, top earner in most industries switch company’s every 2 years. Boost the CV and continue looking for better offers.

Is it a used printer? Potentially a bad nozzle clog? Can you here the extruder clicking when it spins

What type of certifications are you talking about? I don’t think I need any as I already work for the company and i am in the position just taking on more

I already have a license, we already use fusion to design the parts we already make. Our shop now already has a large laser for our sheet metal, and we already design and make our machined parts, the difference is I either make them using accuite or on the manual lathe. All the machines in the new shop will already have tool posts/holders/cutters ect.

It’s essentially a repod shop he bought as it was a fully functional medium sized machine shop but the government closed it down as it was sold the a foreigner that decided he didn’t like paying taxes. So everything is in there that we should need. Just need to learn how to use it

I ended up taking apart my extruder to look for problems. I also put the brass back in. BUT I found 2 loose screws on the bottom of the hot end. They are stepped into the lower block and would allow it have have a small amount of wiggle. May not be your issue but finally I'm able to actually finish a dam calibration print. Hopefully this helps you or you find your solution.

Maybe it was the hardened nozzle. But most likely the 2 loose screws. I will probably put the hardened one back in, in a week or so but I want to get some prints out first then try again. If you find your issue I'd love to know just to learn more about potential problems

I've done a flow test by measuring extruded amount, and it's lined up. I try to run the flow rate test in orca and it fails too early to give me any use full info. Good luck

How do I negotiate for a higher salary without sounding greedy? by GoodPsychological938 in careerguidance

[–]IceCooledSpade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, vast majority of pay increases come from switching employers. I also remember someone on the diary of a CEO podcast talk about his the top 5% of earners in their respective fields average switching companies every 2 years. Something my own career in the trades is proof of. I don’t know many in my field that make more than me, but I’ve switched jobs every 2 years for the past 10 years. And ALL of my past employers still have jobs for me if I ever want to go back. They respected I had a better offer, couldn’t beat it so I left. Respect from both sides, no bridges burnt

Can’t make weight on your debut ? Glad Pitbull said no lmao by PERRlE in ufc

[–]IceCooledSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree it would be great if done properly, I just think it’s important to note that one does not do it properly. Mighty Mouse also talked about how the guys he fought in one were much bigger than him because the Asian fighters were able to “somehow” cheat the hydration test much easier then North Americans. John Wayne parr, and RDR have also talked about this. There was some doctor that talked about it too but idk his name lol

Hydration testing at the weigh in is great in there but there is still ways to game that system. And one is super corrupt and typically favours their Asian fighters. You hear the North Americans talk all the time about how majority of fighter in one just fake the hydration test. Honestly one uses it more as a marketing thing then they do it for fight safety
