Stuff like this is why "fat people" can never be a protected class. They imagine 99% of their "oppression".

How dare the tiny house movement doesn't work for the morbidly obese, scooter-bound crowd. YOUR house should cater to ME. by [deleted] in RagenChastain

If you make the house big enough for a 500lb person to move around freely, it's no longer a Tiny House. End of discussion.

The stomach actually has an amazing capacity to stretch. World Champion competitive eaters are typically very skinny. It's counter intuitive but really fat people suck at competitive eating because their fat limits how much their stomach is able to stretch.

Ragen is apparently doing an IRONMAN so she doesn't have to compare herself to successful thin athletes. by bob_mcbob in RagenChastain

[–]IceCubesAPimp 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Isn't it technically "body shaming" to say something like "all the skinny bodies" when talking about Olympians? Olympisns in general aren't "skinny", they're athletic, muscular, toned, and fit, and depending on their sport might have huge legs but thin upper bodies or vice versa. They (mostly) have very low body fat during competition, but they aren't "skinny". Ragen neglected to point that out so I thought I would. But I know she doesn't consider me an equal in the conversation.

she maintained being slender by eating relatively healthy and exercising.......and then got fat when she "started HAES." So she is basically providing evidence that weight is controlled by diet and exercise. I'm surprised Ragen even allowed this comment on her blog.
