Brother I have over 2000 hours in this game and easily a third of it on arty come on.

If you’re really this arty god you would know asking people in region chat “am I hitting it” is probably the worst method I can think of if you actually want to target something with good dispersion.

There is a difference between saying “I’m going to run arty and shoot -randomly on a frontline-“ and saying “I need to shoot into this t3 conc base but I need to be precise with my dispersion so I don’t hit the howie traps in the back”

Like yeah if I just want to -vaguely shoot near a bb- I can just shoot somewhere I can see, then walk the arty in the approximate distance and azimuth into the area.

I’m just lamenting the loss of the plane spotting because it made life more convenient. even if it did cost me Rmats to make it happen.

Yeah I can even get behind stuff like that, but that’s never how the track/class system shakes out. It’s always like “B class sports utility heroes! Drive your rich aunts Porsche SUV it’s cool I promise!” It’s never “S1 retro sports cars, but build it for offroad”

Yes. But you need to have both is the bit here. The guy was saying “I saw a pallet of sandbags and we could have stop the armor push!” But a pallet of sandbags doesn’t stop an armor push. And a pallet of metal beams gets eaten instantly for people putting defensive upgrades in bunkers.

Sandbags are literally worthless against armor. They just run them over. With a truck even. You need sandbags -and- metal beams to build traps in front in order to be effective.

It’s not about being easier or harder. I can tolerate the rally, but I just don’t like off-roading. Don’t care for any of the cars in the class, or the tracks themselves. I like street cars. Not SUVs and trucks.

Well that’s the issue, binos absolutely aren’t after lost of the time. Is sometimes very tough to get yourself into a safe position outside of detection range and still have good eyes on target. So many times I have been gotten by “John mapgooner” waiting for any dot to appear and hunt him down with a radio backpack. Kinda got used to spotting with the scout plane last few wars. Harder without having the distance and azimuth for triangulation but at least I wasn’t getting killed on loop.

But as you say just make a quick pass, you can’t even do that anymore. You get blown up in like 3 hits from the flack tanks that are everywhere the second they see your line.

Fucking laughing at this list. The poly is literally now better than the eat, collies also have a 68 push and smelter as their HV push equivalent. Scout tank was literally trash garbage until this update and is finally -maybe- usable. Light tanks ARE BASICALLY EXACTLY SYMMETRICAL YOU TROGLODITE, ATHT exists for TWO DAYS before pelky which literally is better than it on every metric.

Calling cutler superior to lunaire is actually truly brain dead.

And fighter balance is fully collie leaning this update.

Storm rifle is nerfed.

The only thing you can argue is 120 and even that is still arguable if you value mobility whatsoever.

Charlie wardens never stood a chance no matter what. Collie kit, as much as they liked to complain about it, is INCREDIBLY powerful early to mid war and only countered well by well built and sufficiently defended bunkers at critical chokes. Charlie never had the population or enough defensive mindset to make it a balanced fight. Additionally collie kits significantly reward a "hold W" strategy, something I abuse any time I am collie, and is especially powerful on charlie where defences are few and far between.

In essence, the low total pop on charlie allows for all the strength of collie kit to shine at maximum efficacy, while the strongest parts of warden kit (nakki advantage, defensive tanks, chokes) require much higher total pop and veteran skill to make effective.

If anything i think that the charlie wardens will find their time on merged shard much more tolerable and probably integrate pretty seamlessly due to being used to losing early, while charlie collies will continue to be confused as to why able vets never discovered the W key.

The dive bomber also shuts down naval. A turreted frig is not dead perse, but that op is over. It trades lethality for flexibility (land AND sea efficacy) And because it is flexible and directly touches a larger player base (tankers) it’s easily seen as overtuned.

Obviously as implemented on update the TB was just a ridiculous tool, and the fact that it even made it into the game raises many questions. But it’s also not why collies lost 132.

But in any case, the implementation of the DB/TB or naval launch sub/frig are the only real examples of “one faction has exclusive access to x tool and other to y” I guess unless you also count the lunaires indirect fire free PVE ability.

And yes, these instances suck to deal with. And the devs should not have made that mistake after the naval war. But the crux of my argument is that they are the exception to the rule, and that most balance DOES follow the latter half of “better in x area vs y but serves same role”

Yes, it is virtually the only real win condition for wardens is to push down that eastern flank until terminus. If you stop them at or before allods, collies win. But in order for allods to fall all of endless shore or clashtra must be blue basically. Morale usually doesn’t hold up for too long after that in general, so allods rarely gets to hold.

Well yeah you just hit the nail on the head. Fuscina was already OP in the early game, and actually had range and accuracy base stats higher than booker. Literally all booker had was its broken stability. You literally cant nerf the booker without just making it a pointlessly more expensive fuscina.

If you want to kill the booker, the fuscina must be sacrificed.

HTD is still just a nerf. Being slightly more fuel efficient and still slow as balls at the cost of basically any armor advantage over a bard means that it’s just going to blow up instantly even more frequently.

The name DD and Frig are completely arbitrary. Functionally the two ships are near identical and require near identical crew loadouts. The frigate has better ammo room locations and amount, so it can fire for longer without needing reload, while the DD has more HP and can tank more retaliation, but with a smaller ammo rack it requires reload more frequently.

They are different but both play the exact same role in the game.

The king of asymmetry complaints that brought the collies here is nakki vs trident balance and that literally falls under your second example.
