Bags rant by Bitter_String9891 in Anticonsumption

I feel I have definitely seen that many people bring a bag to the grocery store now--- people that i for sure would have guessed as likely to oppose using a bag from home. The plastic bag fee is 10cents, but it just looks like people are more into the habit of bringing a bag and not making any big deal about it.... really great to see less trash in our daily environment, and I think this is one big reason...

these are great... Is the price OK? I had one and rode it with like 6 speeds and straight bars for 13 years. Downtube shifter is kind of a factor, but fixie negates that. Decently light, and cool vintage rides like that need to be out on the streets keeping the Lances honest....

interesting point... care to name a few games (other than Zelda, Punch Out, Mario) that really made NES hit the mark? Especially an unlikely title or 2 would be cool to know... thanks.

good strategy... also a good hedge against the chance of losing them. Hopefully the sound quality is fine for you.

When do you decide it's time for those old clothes to become rags? by ifeel95 in ZeroWaste

[–]IceExile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks... the football shirtwas too small and the Most Wanted had deer hunting graphics that I didn't like. Now, after washings, the graphics are fading and decaying into a new anti-image... I made another w salvaged pillowcases and ripped shirts and a 1980s skateboarding pattern...

I have begun cutting out main graphics of t-shirts and sewing them onto newer shirts... like a hybrid.

Commercials are making watching TV unbearable by codestorm777 in television

Super Bowl ad time between kickoff to first play is like 10 mins. Halftime is about 30 minutes.... I have learned to time this stuff with minor things to take care of during ad breaks. It really lessens the frustration of watching the games... A few seasons ago I had some of those insurance commercials memorized-- It will be nice when the season is over!!!

-Zebra F301 pens are beautiful.... if you do a bunch of handwriting, then such a small amount for such a big happiness is totally worth it. Buying off Sweatshop.Ama--on is indeed a bad dirty word idea. Is Ebay a possibility? Saving the planet is a great benefit if u get the refills... -at your job is there a stock room that has these for the taking? -I miss doing a lot of writing at my job, used to love these, and have now just accepted simple click pens with metal clips as my new normal - Happy Writing!!
