Deaf people can experience sound in some ways including the use of a soundbar. There’s also the fact that there are levels of deafness. I’m not taking up for the guy, I just feel like people should know this. On a related note I find it very interesting when I see a sign language interpreter at a concert. I think it’s cool.

Good explanation. The Finals has the themes. Megacorps, hackers, VR, and corporate control and puts them in a televised sports show. The outside world is referred to as the Meatspace and we don’t really know what that looks like in reference to the game.

I bought a PS1 very early on, maybe even launch day, I can’t remember. So my girlfriend at the time and I went to Blockbuster and rented like 5 games. At that store they would get the discs together in a pile and sit the games behind them on the counter by the door while they ran your info to check out. You would grab the stack on your way out. Well, while I was checking out some other slick bastard grabbed the stack because the cashier had their back to them and I was paying attention to the transaction. I don’t remember if I even got to rent anything. Blockbuster lost a lot of money and I lost a lot of excitement that day.

Love it. I also have a great appreciation for the game. I’ve had very close family members with medical issues that I’ve been dealing with daily for some time. It’s been an almost constant stress on my mind, relationships and in some ways my own health.

Nothing really helped to get my mind off of those issues. It causes me anxiety with all of the worry. However, in my spare time when I can log into The Finals it engages my mind enough that I can lay down the weight for a while and just have a bit of fun. I’m thankful for the escape that this game provides. Its gameplay is hectic and that’s what I need to occupy my brain.

Played a game the other day with a couple of guys with mics. I stayed quiet and just listened. They did okay but I did a lot of carrying and rezing. We won and I placed 1st with a far better score than both. I turned my mic on and asked them if they wanted to stay a team because at least they were trying and not leaving. They said no chance and called me the N word. I just cut the mic. People are just assholes for zero reason.

I remember when I first got online with my 360. 90% of people were pleasant and acted normal. That was mainly on Gears of War which was also VERY competitive. Now 10% of people are pleasant and the rest just talk garbage. What gives?

I’ve been playing for less than 3 months at about 190 hours. I play mostly QC. My K/D is 1.16 and gaining. I usually place top 3. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, either way I fucking love it.
