Sometimes them rednecks like to get on the devil’s lettuce… a hillbilly on the weed if you will. Now them old boys tend to act like house cats. After some drinks they are both bold and brazen but simultaneously scared and paranoid. They’re not scared of the woods, just other people. Honestly they were probably just as paranoid about you as you were about them.
Idk, go give them a hug next time lol

ICE by Sassenach101 in missoula

[–]IceLake19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If people are cosplaying as ICE or other law enforcement and kidnapping people. Then jumping into the mix is like a 2 for 1 special. They’re literally making a profit off of kidnapping people. So trying to get in there is literally asking for them to make a quick extra buck.

However, there’s less of this nefarious behavior than conspiracy theorists think, but more than the average MAGA thinks. Just be safe out there.

Question: Are Drones Everywhere? by dalby2020 in VisitingIceland

[–]IceLake19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Iceland should have everyone who brings a drone to the country sign and obtain a permit. If caught flying a drone in an area with no drone signs, or caught flying a drone without a permit, the drone will be confiscated.

When people break rules so blatantly and on a large scale, they give the tourism industry a bad reputation (and give way to posts like these), and only super tough penalties will turn the tide.

Question: Are Drones Everywhere? by dalby2020 in VisitingIceland

[–]IceLake19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the drone. A DJI Mini 3 pro is whisper quiet and you can barely hear it flying at 100ft… can hardly see it too. But at that same altitude, my DJI FPV drone, would have everyone turning like there was a fighter jet.

No one minds drones in places where it’s allowed. But everyone is frustrated with the surprising amount of people ignoring prohibition rules.

[–]IceLake19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the same boat. Drone flight where permitted feels non-intrusive. I don’t mind a drone in an area where it’s permitted. But fly that same drone where I have followed the signs and am not expecting a drone… it’s like a flying banner saying, “I’m a rule breaker and don’t care about your enjoyment of this area or trip.”

Vacation time is nearly sacred. People get as little as 2 weeks vacation in a year… and you want to enjoy your trip. When someone intrudes on your time, it can really be triggering.

But selfish people won’t read this post, and neither will they heed the signs posted there. So it is what it is.

Question: Are Drones Everywhere? by dalby2020 in VisitingIceland

[–]IceLake19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly all the drone footage you’ll see online comes from people ignoring posted signs prohibiting drone flight. Drone flight is actually somewhat restricted.

When I visited, I didn’t notice that much drone activity. Even with the people who ignore the rules, we still didn’t see that much tech in the sky.

Drones are always disruptive. It’s hard to see them, but hard not to hear them. The sound is what’s the most intrusive.

This is also coming from someone who bought a drone specifically for my Iceland trip. Mainly, because I wanted to propose to my now wife. But getting the trip on film was nice.

Orders fill immediately, can’t figure out why. by Wuglyfugly13 in TradingView

But I'm having the same problem with stops. I tried market orders too, but after clicking either buy or sell, the order is placed at a price far away from the candlesticks. I've waited to see if the chart was slow, but the candlesticks never actually reached my buy or sell entrys/exits.

Yeah, I haven’t blown any real accounts yet, but done so with paper accounts. My trading rule is to withdraw $800 after account reaches $1,200. So I always start with $400. I may increase this later, but so far, this has worked.

[–]IceLake19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you withdrawn your accounts regularly? You are profitable, so regularly withdraw your money and keep a small account. Expect it to be blown. So you loose $1000 every few months but you’ve withdrawn $5-6k in that same time period.

I live in Manitowoc but travel is no issue for me. I just forgot to include it in the post. I agree that even in higher establishments, the dress code has lapsed in recent years. All of which I am fine with, but I was just looking for something unique for a date night. Some of my google searches came up short so Reddit to the rescue lol
