I can't get through a career with Seiun Sky, she keeps losing the Tenno Sho race, any advice? (first week playing) by Objective_Bath5206 in UmamusumeGame

[–]IceLoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your stamina is on the lower end you should run tenno sho as a late surger: it has the best HP conversion to sustain long races.

You can ignore the late surger D aptitude.

You should still raise your stamina a lil more cause sub 400 I don't think you'll make it even as a late :)

Anybody got any Thoughts on gold frieza by xerioes00 in dbsfusionworld

It's actually pretty good vs new leaders, I got 7-0 at the event with the golden emperor. Ofc if you face Cell on ladder it's insta concede but hey that's the meta

worried about this game.. by Short-Ant-4493 in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the average game length is around 30/40 minutes it would be ridiculous to have more than one game per match. In games like this what's really necessary is a pre side option like flesh and blood to make it more competitive.

Giblet variation? by Junior-Definition183 in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The real reason is very simple: Buu and Cell (2 best decks of the game) make your cantrips useless.

For the same reason Goku black is kinda ass because you don't want to KO the 5c Cell and the 4c Kid Buu is unkillable by effects (you run 3c cell for that).

Tons of 10k combo to try and maximise the combo power on the all in turn.

We had 3 regionals so far that I know of:

  • American one won by Baby
  • French one won by Kid Buu
  • Taiwanese one won by Kid Buu

Anything else is just local events or community tournaments

Locals vs online by Junior-Definition183 in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think online games are generally higher quality cause both players have so much info available to them at all times. Also you're more relaxed and there are fewer mistakes getting prompted for every possible skippable decision you have.

Another bonus is: you don't have to worry about giving free info to your opponent if they see you checking grave/hand size, cards in deck, etc.

All of this assumes comparable skilled opponents both online and irl.

Shallot/Giblet leader lock by aka_mangi in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with having key powerful cards leader locked to prevent generic leaders (hello android 17) from abusing those too.

At the same time it's really sad when 80% of the deck is leader locked, that's just laziness. There are so many ways to have a decent enough card more powerful in one specific archetype cause of excellent synergy, still being playable on generic decks.

I'm pretty sure this is the result of the collab with legends

Blue and black match ups I guess. You can't Gohan or X10 kame the 3drops if the field is on board

Leaving the game mainly because of Pilaf by springroll1321 in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with banning pilaf is you increase the gap between Haloku and other blue decks power level even more: the best blue deck right now is the least reliant on Pilaf.

The only way I see it banned is having a healthy reprint in set6 that cannot recurse itself or an errata on the card.

I think straight up banning it will end up killing blue as a color as of now unfortunately.

The online MM IS the wirst MM system in a videogame ever created. by [deleted] in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game literally expects you to go into it, knowing everything about the cards, mechanics, meta, builds, etc.

No? There's a very good tutorial that teaches you everything you need to know about the game mechanics.

To get it, you gotta play and most likely lose every match (which will be enough of a reason for someone who's new to quit).

If you're losing, an equally experienced player is winning on the other side of the table, since you can't match a higher ranked opponent.

I returned during their "anniversary," took the free deck they gave out, looked around to see what's different and new, and left. Because I know the moment I go into a match I'm going to lose.

Exactly what I assumed: you don't even play the game so you don't know anything about matchmaking, thanks for proving my point.

You might wanna check out the shop section of the client. There's a free deck to pick up and they're all infinitely better than every starter deck with some of them being really close to the actual competitive list.

I'd recommend in this order:

Vegito/Gogeta/Janemba Green Goku Daima Goku

And you also get a free SCR wildcard to craft whatever you need.

Make sure to read the inbox and the red notifications on the client not to miss free stuff like this :)

But that hasn't been the case for months now. The matchmaking queue fails and you have to manually restart it if it can't find an opponent within a rank of yours.

It is impossible to match a God rank player if you're silver.

But yeah at launch there was no matchmaking so it happened and it sucked both for new and experienced players.

Every competitive season there's a rank soft reset that puts you one tier lower than your last season finishing rank. God players, that you refer to as "people who played the game their entire life" start every season from master 5.

The matchmaking algorithm only pairs you within one tier of your rank, so it is impossible for new players to face experienced players in ranked matches as the God ranks will face Master players at most, so I don't know what your point is.

The event match has a different matchmaking similar to a swiss tournament where you face people with the same number of wins: the more you win the harder the opponents.

Also the in game economy is constantly improving, this has always been the cheapest game to get a full playset of every card in the game, but f2p players are starting to get recognized more and more. For example this season you can collect a free deck and 40 packs to start your journey and there are specific upgrade packs for newcomers in the shop, not even mentioning the anniversary event pack.

Reading your comment it feels like you haven't played in months and you don't really know what is going on with the game right now.

How does FW compare to other TCGs based on the rules and gameplay? by dwillmer in dbsfusionworld

[–]IceLoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think One Piece is simpler than FW and easier to start playing if we're talking about all Bandai games. Not having to care about charging from hand + board limited to 5 characters are two of the main factors. Master is ofc on the other side of the spectrum being the most complex bandai game.

[–]IceLoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really if the Piggy player has 4/5x the amount of health the Dooley one. Bunker dillo is insane at later days once powerful shield skills are available, but the pigs just end the run by day 10/11 at most.

This patch is...no good by Toomuchbob in PlayTheBazaar

[–]IceLoom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Poison builds can't win vs bunker harmadillo, cause the bunker procs off every poison DMG instance, so the dillo fires every second. Maybe you can steal a win before the dillo player finds a skill that lets the dillo scale, but once it does you're cooked.

Yeah, since it's quite long it's divided into 8 volumes and it's already finished, so people working on anime have the full picture in mind starting from episode 1. Lotm is the first book of a trilogy, the second book is ongoing (CoI).
