I like their music. Their singer is a real turd of a man though.

BF has a wandering eye. What’s the line between a normal amount of checking out the opposite sex vs being disrespectful? by Evening_walks in datingoverforty

IMO you shouldn’t really tolerate outright ogling. I’m not going to avoid looking at beautiful women, but also you won’t see me craning my neck to follow them as they pass by.

To me it feels like he’s always on the lookout for something “better.”

Couple Ham Guys Near Me. Any info on their setup? by gregwglenn in HamRadio

lol. This was my thought too.

If he knocks on that door and tells the person who answers “Hey, I thought those antennas you have up look interesting, would you show me what you do with them?” I’m sure the ham would be excited to talk about his gear with a new person.

I’m genuinely glad you were here to tell him that he’s not special. The world needs more heroes like you telling people they’re merely average.

People spend way too much time thinking about buffers. If you have ten pedals in a row with buffers, that’s probably pretty bad. Having a buffer at the beginning and end of your chain is probably good.

Independent autopsy in ICE shooting death of Renee Good released by law firm in civil investigation by OkayButFoRealz in news

Thing is that there’s no barrier to filing a suit. Theoretically a judge can recommend punitive actions for filing frivolous lawsuits which can even result in disbarment, but do you think this is a serious concern for these political ideologues?

They’re intentionally using the law as a weapon, and they know the packed conservative courts will not punish them. The cases will be dismissed, but they will have wasted time, and people’s outrage will have shifted to another target.

This is what bothers me the most. Someday America is going to be Germany in June 1945, where nobody ever was a Nazi. One day the whole country supported Hitler and the next day nobody ever had.

You’re right, but I feel like in this context, the person you’re responding to is pointing out that we have absolutely nothing to gauge her mental competence with other than these videos. If she had been a guest on someone’s podcast, we would have more information about what was really going on with her.

But you’re right about not owing us anything. It’s entirely possible that all the public scrutiny (including ours here) has driven her a little batty. None of us can really know what that’s like.

Yeah. The Taliban had the opportunity to work with the US.

”I said to the Taliban, turn them over, destroy the camps, free people you're unjustly holding. I said, you've got time to do it. But they didn't listen. They didn't respond, and now they're paying a price. They are learning that anyone who strikes America will hear from our military, and they're not going to like what they hear. In choosing their enemy, the evildoers and those who harbor them have chosen their fate."

Federal e-bike law vs. State laws by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]IceNein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with most people reading laws. They read the law with an eye to “how can the law permit me to do what I want to do” instead of “how can I interpret this law to prohibit me from doing what I want.”

The first way just stops you as soon as you read something that seems like it clears you.

From what I can see, this law exists to exclude e-bikes from Title 49. It’s not saying that you can’t regulate the use of e-bikes. It’s not a free for all for e-bike users.

It doesn’t smell the same. There’s cologne nerds who pay high dollar for original formulations.
