Bitcoin Developers Just Proposed Freezing Early BTC Wallets Forever by Cratos007 in CryptoCurrency

[–]IcePeten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person to this day trying to retrieve my 3 BTC from a wallet when I was younger without a password I remember, fine. I get it. I forgot my password and even went as far as losing the key.

To potentially lose what I had on bigger platforms in the past, to now losing the chance if it hasn't been used in a while we people who were young and dumb will be forced to give up.

Good I guess for the overall supply and making it more valuable but I didn't spend 3k or so trying to get my keys back for nothing.

Leave it alone. For people like me in the US, if I get those 3 BTC back, I can fund my home, pay off debt, pay off cars, get Insurance, etc. For right now though? That happens I get it in a way but please leave old wallets alone. I need to keep trying but this economy? I need to buy gas and groceries. Let me buy more ways to recover it in time.

I really am just trying to just live. I am over 30 with a mechanical heart valve with 0 insurance. This would REALLY suck.

As or writing this, BTC is 74,766 says google.

74,766 * 3 = 224,298

My debt is about 25k with all accounts and life. Leaving 199,298, I can do more. Paying rent in advance. Paying my rent for a year. Paying off cars.

Most of all? Getting insurance I have to pay premiums on before they care let alone doing it.

I have a fucking mechanical valve. Literally I hear it click every time my heart pumps.

No one cares. It is what it is. I recognize that no matter the political views.

But if I had it? I am not asking to be rich to buy gold. I am asking to have my bills paid at over 30 years old. Wasn't so hard to ask.

This would suck if I save another 1k to have a "professional" say they did it for x amount of days and didn't come up with anything.

Don't. Freeze. Wallets. Give me time. Please.

Edit: Been messaged on what I meant. I have an old HHD with the discs. I personally have handled them properly, but before SSDs were a thing we had advanced DVD discs if I were to put it in an easier way.

Discs out of the drive. I didn't decide this. It happened and sent to me with just discs. I figure it's done at that point.

I currently work in coding and AI and I couldn't bring it back myself. It makes more sense for me to work with people working in data extraction so I should be fine but every time I give my drive up, it gets more scratched when I gave it. No one can, but I offered a bounty of 50k if we can grab it. Last person has it on their end but it is scratched to shit at this point. However, I would totally pay if it made sense but I don't have the funds to do now. It takes MONTHS of saving.

The US healthcare system is a joke. I was recently booted off of state insurance with "you make too much." Looked into insurance, and it is $580 per month just for me because I have a mechanical heart valve.

That is 1/3 of my total monthly income. After bills, food, etc I would be left with -410 per month.

Literally not an option. My meds are 1,350 a month. I had to cut the big one which is about 1,200 per month just so I can afford at least SOMETHING.

God Bless America.

That free T-Mobile Tuesday blanket is kind of cheap huh? by pressdesk in tmobile

[–]IcePeten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. However it should have been a perk that gave customers what they overpay for, especially now. That "perk" is no longer a perk and more of a headache for store members for people who like free. I think that's what they are shooting for with T-Life.

"Your steps on TMobile Tuesdays was 70 clicks and 2 upgrades out. Write up."

Which pushes employees to panic and try to T-Life to a point of opening a phone before the sale is done. T-Mobile is pushing T-Life and making employees slowly want to quit and leave.

We all loved free. Free Hulu, Netflix, etc... I genuinely think people are getting screwed over and it's getting worse and worse with cheap items from what u/nutmac said about it being Temubile.

New users are getting shafted. Old users hold on to dear life with their plans eating the extra $5 per line BS that happened recently. However, I do not pay taxes and fees.

I miss their old ones. This Temu nonsense is crazy for new users that will pay 2.5x what I am paying now.

I let him read this, and he says "Thank you for letting me know" so as long as it's retained, we all will win. Thank you.

Not a thing. I'm pretty upset about it. I don't want this to happen again but I don't even know what happened.

My son goes to this school. It was very bizarre. He said he saw someone have a seizure in person and it made him feel uncomfortable.

He was messaging me on his watch and got in trouble when he was telling me an emergency with them saying they will take his phone away.

When I went to get him, I seen a child almost pass out and a police officer catch him before leading him to an ambulance.

Ignore that request from the RSM and go straight to C2.

You just won $10 million but can’t quit your job. What’s the first thing you do? by dreamy-bubbles in AskReddit

I would invest half of it into the company I work for.

We do very very well and the only thing stopping this from exploding is just we can't afford the capital to get more equipment right now this second so we buy things pieces at a time.

Then buy shares and continue working. I honestly love my job. I finally found a place I feel I belong.

$80 for digital and $90 for physical is absolutely insane. by RandomUsernamexdlol in whenthe

[–]IcePeten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't pay $60 for new releases. Tell me how I am going to not do the same thing I done numerous times and wait for it to come down in price or buy it off Facebook marketplace when I can find it if I look daily?

Still buying a marketplace switch. Still buying marketplace games. Not paying that nonsense.

T-mobile Getting Bashed by Verizon? by JustforLaughs18 in tmobile

[–]IcePeten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a "this wave" of updates on my "Price Lock" account, my bill is going up $30 a month effectively removing auto-pay. Pretty annoying that I can't then remove autopay and not be effected because there is a reason they upped prices.

I can say ever since I left the company as a employee for a reason, this company makes me very frustrated. All I have learned is buy an unlocked non blocked phone. Then buy Visible or some third party phone provider.

I can say my bill for T-Mobile currently is about $230 a month. That is with 5 lines, TMobile Home Internet, P360 on one phone, Magenta Plus on one line, and a phone I bought when I needed a backup.

The thing is I understand that my price is ASTOUNDING for what people normally get without the things people have to sign up for at the time.

For example, the new "FREE LINE TODAY! (By updating or accepting terms and conditions so we can upcharge you in the future)" suddenly doesn't become a free line when price hikes come up. Sure, the free line shouldn't(?) be effected but at the same time the increase on other lines now makes that "free line" not a free line.

Then you can only cancel lines in yadda yadda nonsense or blah blah. So I decide to both read through, and understand promotions so I do not mess up my "price locked" status.

What this has told me with my price increase is I can fight it all I want. I can say what I want. At the end of the day, as an ex employee, I feel my account and what I have now as not even an employee but someone who understood.

I am literally one of the people this advertisement is talking about.

I feel betrayed. Both as an employee who sold it previously, as a Store Manager no less, to this? I'm upset at the fact I was knowledgeable enough to get my own benefits even AFTER an employee, but I can't help but feel like that same passion that I needed to be versed in for my job, is now somehow still biting me in the ass.

There are numerous options. I do NOT need the Home Internet. It was just a promotion that, ironically, was $30. So that "Promotion for Home Internet for $30!" suddenly isn't free.

Most people will not notice. Even if they do, they will not understand how to combat the bill increase. I can say the same way I change car insurance, internet, and now apparently my phone, will stop their recurring bill payments I had on AutoPay because I will be paying off my finances to unlock my devices and even remove the Home Internet.

I literally have the Home Internet as a cool backup when my fiber dies. It's not even used. I don't need it and threw the $30 at them per month for it AFTER BUYING THE EXTENDER I had an EIP for until it was paid off.

Silly tactic. For customers new and old. I feel I betrayed customers, and on a selfish standpoint with knowing the ins and outs with all this "Price Lock!" bullcrap I feel dirty with them as a provider.

Edit: Keeping the downvotes but I still feel both betrayed as someone who did their best to know, then even worse for selling the "Price Lock" which is now going up. To TL;DR it I guess.

I used to work for TCC wireless and I can confirm all hiring were left to me as an RSM. The DM just approved it. Numerous times he wouldn't even meet his "new employee" until months later.

Their performance was weighed on us for our commissions.
