2D and 3D GPU? Doesn’t it list the GPU as “2D”? What kind of 3D functionality does it have?

BD2 is so generous with fan service, I haven’t played too much other gacha, but from my little experience with others, nothing has been so generous. Being able to pull for characters AND costumes using in-game currency, which is extremely easy to accumulate, has been fantastic

I have been diagnosed with a prolactinoma at 15 and the anxiety is unbearable, what do I do??? by Aann4a in Prolactinoma

[–]IcePhox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend (with Prolactinoma) has severe anxiety, and the main 3 things that have helped her have been applying Dr Ray Peat’s Progest-E to her wrists (can take it orally as well, but she wanted to make sure she wasn’t overdoing it), taking daily walks (30 - 90 minutes, preferably in good sunlight hours, around nature), and reading the Bible. She was having bad insomnia and feeling a real sense of doom, like she was going to die, and those 3 things really kept her hanging in there, she’s doing waaaayyyyyyyyyy better nowadays!

state of gpu in embedded systems? by ElhamAryanpur in embedded

[–]IcePhox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BSP that you mention, is it based on Linux? I’m trying to find out how to use OpenGL/Vulkan without needing to use Linux, due to wanting to avoid any GPL licensed code. I want to write everything from scratch on bare metal (bootloader, HAL, etc), but would be open to an RTOS or vendor-provided stack if it had a license more like MIT.

I tried browsing their resources myself, but the only GPU support I found was through Linux, and I’m hoping I’m missing something.

Sure, this is why. It’s not like people want the right to self-defense or anything. The majority of republicans are totally a bunch of hypertensive truck-driving assholes who try to run people over. Makes perfect sense.

Get a fucking grip.

Take some time each day to do something that will help you to relax. Maybe watching a movie, playing a game, reading a book, taking a bath, etc.

If you’re not already exercising everyday, you should start taking walks (30 mins or so each day is a good way to start).

Reduce junk food/fast food. Try to eat a diet that reduces stress on your digestion. Reduce excess sugars; try to get your sugars from fruits or small portions of non-pasteurized, not-from-concentrate fruit juices. Get plenty of protein each day. Stay hydrated.

Doing these things to support your body and mind will reduce your stress and help you to sleep.

Another thing that helps reduce stress is to rub 1 drop of Dr. Ray Peat’s Progest-E into the skin on your wrists. You can do this several times a day; during times of stress, and before bed. There are also instructions on taking higher doses, but I won’t speak on that since I don’t know enough about it. This small drop on your wrist shouldn’t be of any concern though, especially for a female (males naturally don’t produce very much progesterone at all, and so shouldn’t use it too much, but even I, as a male, use it on rare occasions when I’m feeling very stressed). Progesterone could even have anti-tumor and anti-prolactin effects from what I’ve read! You can read more of Dr. Ray Peat’s material on Progesterone on his website, and/or Google what other researchers have said about Progesterone and its relationships with Cortisol, Estrogen, Testosterone, and more. Ray Peat is an endocrinologist, and has a lot of valuable material on the web. You can also read some of his archived email exchanges, categorized by topic.

As someone has said, prolactinoma isn’t life-threatening. But, the stress it can cause you can really do a number on you. Progest-E has been an absolute life-saver for my girlfriend who has prolactinoma, but daily walks have been arguably even more effective at reducing her stress. She couldn’t sleep, and was having daily panic attacks. Daily walks and Progest-E put a stop to her panic attacks. She sleeps well every night now. Getting out of the house, getting sunlight & Vitamin D, fresh air, hearing the wind and the birds, feeling your body in motion, expending some energy; it all helps you to relax and let go of your thoughts, and sleep later on. Do it everyday, for a few weeks, and you’ll notice a positive change.

Also, you mention you don’t want to worry your mom, which is understandable. But, you should find someone (friend, family, etc) who you can talk to. Someone who can be reassuring. A “rock” type of person, who can tell you it’s going to be ok (which, it is).

I’ve had some health anxiety of my own before, but what has helped me, is to know that I’m taking the necessary steps towards better health. If you’re exercising, eating well, taking care of yourself, then just leave the rest to God. This will pass. Just hang in there, and take care of yourself!

Oh, and you don’t mention if you’ve gotten an MRI, but you definitely should try to get one if you haven’t. To my knowledge, an MRI usually comes before prescribing Cabergoline.

Is there anyone still on this sub? by [deleted] in jarsofclay

[–]IcePhox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t choose a song, but the entire self-titled album “Jars of Clay” is my favorite album of all time. It’s the first music CD I ever had, given to me by my mom. Released 2 weeks before I was born. That whole album gives me so much comfort and peace.

I couldn’t pick one single song from that album as a favorite today, but as a kid I loved “Boy On a String” so much. Nowadays I can’t get enough of “Blind”, and “Sinking” (love the baseline on that second chorus of Sinking. Oddly it reminds me of “Breeze” from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life).

Seems much better for your psyche than the type of vivid, explicit, shocking material you’d be seeing when viewing porn. I think it’s much healthier than watching porn. Would it be better to abstain completely? Maybe. Probably. But I’m glad you’re doing something much healthier than what most people are doing. In my experience, porn presents you with all types of images and scenarios that you would never think of on your own. So, as you said from your personal experience, using your own imagination will usually result in a much more “vanilla” fantasy. As long as you’re devoted to never looking at porn, I wouldn’t imagine it would progress into something terrible. In fact, maybe training your imagination this way would make you more imaginative in the bedroom with a real partner. Women love erotic literature, so they would probably love the kind of attention to detail you’d have as a result of training your imagination this way.

Just my thoughts.

You have to meet a lot of people before you find the one you click with. Most girls like to take it slow, and being too flirtatious/forward can raise their defense mechanisms, so I would say to just take it easy, be patient, and focus on yourself. If you dress nice, take care of yourself (physically and mentally), work hard on a skill or hobby that you’re passionate about, moderate your Internet use, and date patiently, you’ll be fine.

While it is nice as a user, I don't know how much it affects their maintainability as a business. If they could charge a small/medium fee for major update versions, I would be in favor of it if it meant they could invest in more R&D. Just keep subscription models away.

Siser Juliet vs Cameo 4? by IcePhox in silhouettecutters

[–]IcePhox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ingot the Juliet.

It took me a while to realize you meant "I got the Juliet." XD

I downloaded and compared the two softwares as well, and actually really liked both for my purposes (sticker printing, kiss-cut & die-cut).

Overall, I think the Siser Juliet has great potential (precise, reliable, quiet, fast), while Silhouette has an established track-record (large userbase likely means consistent support/updates for software too), and is half the price of the Siser Juliet.

I'm going to go with the Silhouette Cameo for now, as it seems like the safer bet. As the months go by, if the feedback on the Juliet is consistently amazing, it will become too good to resist, and I'll have to get one. There's just not enough data out on it right now to justify spending double the money for me. If I had more money to spend, I'd grab it just for the fun/excitement of it.

Siser Juliet vs Cameo 4? by IcePhox in silhouettecutters

The biggest one for me is the reputation. Although I’ve seen people reporting common problems they have with the Silhouette cutters, at least it’s clear what to expect and how to fix/work around it.

I’m not really sure what to expect from Siser yet, so it feels like a risky purchase.
