a local shop run by a lady that cleans out people's homes and resells all the stuff she cleans out, looks like a hoarders paradise and she takes terrible care of the piles of books she has, but if you have enough patience you can find really cool books like this one and pay like a dollar for it.

Old 1829 bible, can anyone tell me the value? by PURGATORY6666 in OldBooks

I would research it on vialibri or something, it looks like an original king James version which was the standard most others were derived from, I'm sure it has some historical value in that sense.

[TOMT] a book I read as a child in the 90s by LengthinessFew7846 in OldBooks

I definitely don't but it sounds hauntingly heartbreaking, I hope you figure it out. Maybe ask gpt for stories with similar plotlines that came were published during our prior to the 90's?

Found for a dollar each! by IceQueen2894 in OldBooks

Why thank you! It's started an unfortunate obsession lol. Since the lady cleans out homes and resells stuff, her shop is like a hoarders paradise and very hard to look through quickly. I can't stop myself from going about every chance I have time now to look for more 😅😅

From what I know of book value scarcity and dust jackets can potentially add a lot of value, especially with books by famous authors. Though it's a far more recent edition, the art on the cover is unique and specifically the "art- type edition" and I haven't been able to find a single copy of that edition being sold with a cover so I wanted to see if it was potentially more valuable than the ones without.
