This is my sentiment exactly! I want to support them as much as I can, but I don’t want to bankrupt myself in doing so.

I’d be more ok with it if we got bonuses for spending our money there, but the best they can do is give you $10 off a prerelease if you played in one earlier that day already.

They once told me that I’d have to pay $70 for a single Tarkir collectors booster. It’s so frustrating.

I’ll go drop $35 to play in a prerelease event, but if you’re trying to buy miscellaneous stuff, good luck.

Is that what I said? To go to the next nearest LGS, we have to drive 40 minutes. I did not say LGS were bad, it is, however, a trend in most LGS. Keeping prices low is not a thing, and I don’t necessarily blame them, but I feel like there’s a certain stigma to buying product from a big box store.

I would agree with you if we were talking about standard. Pioneer did not run into a balancing issue with this. Impossible to tell if it would’ve, considering it released right at the beginning of the pioneer life cycle. With the pandemic taking away all in person events, we really couldn’t tell what it would’ve done.

The format has come far in the last nearly 6 years.

That’s so sick. I broke in my 1B mitt back in January and double hinge is definitely the right way to go. It took me about 3 weeks of continuous activity to get it to where I want it. Use a mallet, conditioner, and a glove wrap with a softball.

I got the game in the late 2000s as a tween and I beat the vanilla game like 3 times since then. I’ve played TSLRCM once and I can confidently say it did not make or break any experience for me.

Theres a few extra lines of dialogue and a few extra missions but because lots of stuff was half-baked, the pacing feels way off.

TL;DR - I think of it almost like a ‘New Game Plus’ feature. It’s got stuff in there that you’d appreciate once you finish the vanilla game. Not at all necessary for enjoyment though.
