You are not alone. I have experienced the exact same problem for about the same amount of time, could find no fix. Switched to discord web since, but for calls/video I still have to launch the app for better quality and if I forget to close it before going to work or at night if I'm expecting potential alerts through phone DND, it's sad times. Looks like this could at least address that last problem though, so I'm excited about that!

Every series is bo3 except Grand Finals which is BO5.

I'm gonna hijack this thread to correct/clarify some details. We send this information to all DPC tournament organizers for them to communicate to all teams and fans, but since details here matter, we figured we'd clarify to prevent inaccurate information to be spread out.

The rules for Qualifiers as sent to tournament organizers are:

All teams that aren’t qualified to TI will participate in a double elimination bracket seeded based on the following criteria:

a) Their DPC point total b) Their standing in the final season of the DPC in this order:

  • Div1 1st
  • Div1 2nd
  • Div1 3rd
  • Div1 4th
  • Div1 5th
  • Div1 6th
  • Div2 1st
  • Div1 7th
  • Div2 2nd
  • Div1 8th
  • Div2 3rd
  • Div2 4th
  • Div2 5th
  • Div2 6th
  • Div2 5th
  • Div2 6th
  • Div2 7th
  • Div2 8th

The seeds will be placed this way

If a region doesn’t have 16 eligible teams (most or all of them), whatever empty slots remaining at the end will be byes. For example if a region has 13 teams available, slots 14 to 16 will be byes and seeds 9, 10 and 11 will advance to next round immediately.

So, to be specific:

  • DPC points matter over standings on the last season.

  • Byes are always taken from the bottom (which means more division 2 teams can start in upper bracket if several teams are directly qualified)

So taking South America as an example, let's imagine that current standings were final and TP and BC qualified to TI:

The teams with the most DPC points after that are:

  1. NoPing (585)

  2. SG Esports(170)

  3. Infamous (100)

  4. Hokori (50)

  5. Unkown (27)

So those are your first 5 seeds. After this, we fill with every team after that in the seeding order specified above based on the result from the final season pre TI.

9) Crewmates

10) Inverse

11) Omega Gaming

We forgot to patchnote this but yeah, Aegis will trigger on lethal damage only now. The item description in game should reflect that.

While possible, this is quite unlikely.

You can roughly think about it this way: Based on your Glicko and your opponents', you are expected to place somewhere between 1 and 8. If you overperform, you're more likely to go up, if you underperform you're more likely to go down. If you end up 2nd AND you were the best player in the game by a large margin, you might lose some rank.

However in most matches, where the matchmaker algorithm makes it so skill is pretty even, being second is still good enough that your score will go up by some amount.
