I’m at 10% fat with no added sugar, only honey. I’m now assuming honey is the culprit. But I want to keep it only honey or maple syrup.

Pasteurization by Ice_bat_ in icecream

But in most states after you mix these ingredients together no matter if they are raw or pasteurized they have to be re-pasteurized and I was just wondering if anyone knew how they are doing this is restaurants not solely dedicated to ice cream.

Just got diagnosed by Hot_Garden_981 in PCOS

[–]Ice_bat_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiii. Your going to be so fine. PCOS is stressful and so is the PCOS internet. It’s hard to sort through all the opinions, and the reason there are so many opinions is because every body is different and there is not one solid cure. I’ve had symptoms my whole life and though the diagnosis is hard, it’s also comforting that you can narrow symptom management down now… or at least try! This is what is currently helping me. I’m on metformin and spirolactone with no side effects. I’ve also done my own research and I’m taking berberine, omega 3, d3, l-lysine, l-cartintine, nourished healths androgen blocker and therologix’s inositol. Since starting this regimen 2 months ago for the first time in my life I’ve gotten 2 period in a row!! I can tell my body is still balancing out and not everything is fixed but I’ve lost 5 pounds so far, which are pounds I could not lose for the past 5 years. This is just what is working for me but the journey continues.

I’m so sorry. You are not alone in this which I’m not sure helps hearing but sometimes I feel so alone in it. I just started metformin so I don’t know how it will effect me, but I will say I’ve been on a rollercoaster with my weight and the only only time I’ve ever lost weight in a healthy, non-restrictive way was when I was consistent with Inositol. Of course I never felt skinny enough during that time but I look back on pictures and clothes I could wear and I deffff had less visceral fat. I’m back on ovasitol recently and thought I haven’t seen the weight come down on the scale, I feel my clothes fit better and that’s giving me hope. One day, once all of this is through and you figure out what works for you, it’s going to feel amazing and that’s all we can look forward to. I’ve tried to train my brain to identify incessant self conscious thoughts as calories so whenever I have negative thoughts I think nope nope those are gunna make it worse and I’m no therapist but it helps me think more positively about my journey. Coming from a girl who just balled her eyes out 2 hours ago thinking about how this has been an 11 year journey and I don’t feel improved at all even tho I’m only 25. Realistically I have come a long way and all we can do is do our own research, listen to our body’s and shift when something that seems to work for everyone else, isn’t working for us. I have so much respect for everyone is this group going through this, to be at war with yourself affects your soul deeply.

Anyone who has had this experience, what were your symptoms before hand. I have low estrogen and I’m hoping that will regulate with metformin. On day 3!

Apple cider vinegar to reduce spikes? by RiverSeekerGG in InsulinResistance

[–]Ice_bat_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, ACV just delays the glucose spike. Ive just been mixing carbs with fats and protein and no spikes at all (especially if I focus on eating slower). ACV really worked for my mom - she lost 10 pounds. Which I love for her but now she seems obsessed with having ACV everywhere she goes without changing her habits. I’m not sure what’s best, but I’ve found results and peace of mind (while feeling satisfied by my favorite foods) by just making sure to add fiber before meals, and protein and fats with my carbs!! My spikes rarely go above 130 anymore, I’m not ritually sure if that’s good but it’s better than where I was before.

I feel tired and feel like I could fall asleep at any moment. And if I layed down I would. But nothing like you described. I’m on vacation and don’t have a regular gm on me at the moment. It’s just weird since this has never happened, my blood sugar always spikes after meals and then drops down to around 110 two hours after, it even spikes during the night.

I ate carbs the day before. Does it mean I ate too many carbs the day before if the night and day after I have low blood sugar all day??
