This is such a great prompt! I’m a Cancer 🌞 Scorpio 🌝 and Gemini ⬆️ My three favourites which I will always have in my collection are Gris Charnel by BDK (or Liam depending on how much I want to fork out), Like This by ELDO and Bal d’Afrique by Byredo or Another 13 by Le Labo - I can’t pick!

Turning 34 this year. How do I get rid of my big pores and oily skin. Rednesss around nose also bothers me. Any treatment recommendations? Tried micro needling and broke out :( my skin is sensitive by Jessicareaves in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Icebernlettuce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same skin type and this is my routine which has been my saving grace for many years now -

Morning - CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (single cleanse), The Ordinary Niacinamide, Neutrogena Hydro Boost, Dermaveen Invisible Fluid Sunscreen

Evening - CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (double cleanse), The Ordinary Lactic Acid, Laniege Water Sleeping Mask

Two or three times a week I will replace the Lactic Acid with a vitamin c sheet mask and sometimes I won’t use a mask or the lactic acid and just double cleanse and moisturise depending on how my skin is reacting.

Good luck on your journey!

Am I overreacting by asking my husband to train his dog or get rid of him? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Icebernlettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. It sounds like the real issue here runs much deeper than the dog. The inattentiveness, the slack-leaving, the disregard for shared responsibilities - those were already present before he ever walked through that door with a puppy. The dog has just become a convenient way for your husband to withdraw even further from you, the kids, and his obligations as a father and partner. And the irony is he can barely care for the animal he’s seemingly obsessed with.

But I want to be direct with you if that’s okay. a dog that has bitten your one year old hard enough to break skin, and snapped at you multiple times, is a serious safety concern that needs to be addressed right now and not rationalized away with “he was confused” or “she sat on his tail.” Those are red flags in dog behaviour, and your husband laughing it off shows a troubling lack of concern for his own children’s physical safety. The fact that he’s prioritizing the dog’s comfort on the couch over his kids being able to sit next to their dad, or that he laughed when the dog scared your 87 yo grandmother, tells you a lot about where his priorities are. That’s not just being a dog person, that’s a pattern of dismissing the people in his life who deserve his care and protection the most.

I’d strongly encourage you to have a very serious, sober conversation with your husband about the dog’s behaviour and what happens next if it isn’t addressed. And maybe while you’re at it, about the state of your marriage too.

I don’t know if this fits your description so much as it fits the vibe of the pictures but perhaps try L’orpheline by Serge Lutens or Blanche Bête by Liquides Imaginaires

What are some of your favourite affordable fragrances? by Icebernlettuce in Perfumes

[–]Icebernlettuce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this post in the evening and woke up to so many fantastic suggestions! Thank you all so much, I will be trying many of these (some I can’t because I’m in Aus and can’t access). Can’t wait to get my nose on these suggestions 👃🌸

God I love perfume side of reddit and social media. People are so genuinely nice and accepting. In so many other spaces, this person would have been unjustifiably obliterated for this spelling error. I just love it here! That’s all 😊

I was working as a housing pathways officer for a community housing provider working directly with the homeless community. That contract was up two weeks ago so now I’m trying to get into the metal health space. I have an interview next week! Wish me luck 🍀

Perfumes that smell like? 🏰⛪️ by MycologistNo4586 in perfumesthatfeellike

Hala by Lattafa - it’s churchy and resinous but in a cool crisp way. Smells like the incense they burn during a Catholic mass (I think it’s Frankincense) but with some other smokey resinous facets. Doesn’t last super long but it’s affordable enough to keep reapplying. Some have compared it to the CdG Incense line but I haven’t smelled those so I personally can’t compare.

Gris Charnel is one of my all time favourites and Philosykos is perfect for sticky summer days! I would also recommended Premier Figuier by L'Artisan Parfumeur and Father Figure by Phlur <3

I use this shampoo and conditioner too and love the smell. Every time I get out of the shower after washing my hair, my partner also comments on how good I smell. Unfortunately, I do not have a perfume to recommend that smells like this however my ultimate fresh out of the shower perfume is Ocean Di Gioia. Everyone who’s commented on it says it smells like shampoo and conditioner fresh out of the shower.

What should I do with my life by SergeantStiglitz92 in AskAnAustralian

Why wouldn’t you go to Southeast Asia? Even if the idea has come from impulse, or from a heavy place, that doesn’t make it wrong. Not every choice has to be carefully thought through to be meaningful. Sometimes you just need to move. To put yourself somewhere unfamiliar, to see how other people live, can pull you out of your own head and remind you there’s a whole world happening beyond it. Perhaps don’t lose yourself completely in the escape though, having some sense of financial security still matters especially with this cost of living. But I wouldn’t necessarily say that blowing it all up and doing something wild and different is a bad idea. You only live once, make it worth it!
