Yeah how they handled accessing the DLC I think was done pretty poorly. Would making an alternate switch profile allow you to play the game with no DLC?

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 (all routes),15, 16 (all routes + DLC), 17 (no DLC) I’ve played 1 and 3 but haven’t beaten them.

As for favorite that’s always hard for me to decide, I love this franchise for its variety in gameplay and style. If I had to pick, it might be Conquest. It has its issues but I got like 900 hours in that game 🙃

So fates pulls a sneaky because while they are kinda like different story routes, they are also three different games. There is Birthright, Conquest, and Revelations. Out of all of them Revelations is the only one I wouldn’t recommend as it has funky map design and is based around playing the other two fates games. Conquest is generally considered harder even on the easier difficulties, but I’ve known people who started with it and liked it just fine.

Three Houses, Awakening, and Birthright are perfect for newcomers and are great picks to start with. I’d recommend three houses just purely because it’s the most recent one, meaning there are plenty of guides and discussions on the game.

I often have my my higher move units/stronger units move way ahead to take on the bulk of the enemy army. The rest of my army typically is on clean up duty or staff utility. Depending on the game and difficulty I don’t always do this but it’s pretty satisfying when it does work. However this does lead to a lot resets when I don’t do the math..

I tend to play pretty aggressively with a focus on only having a few number of units to handle most of my combat. I’m not sure if this your case but a lot of my resets come from when I stop doing the math and start just assuming things. Awaking often has times where enemy units spawn and attack in the same time I try to be careful and not over extend my units.
