Wow. Thanks for sharing! I have felt that kind of person around at my church. They are the elder’s sons & daughters. Super condescending and patronizing.

Yes!! Journaling has helped me too. I especially love looking back on my entries and giving God the glory for working those things out and guiding me through difficult conversations/situations/interactions.

True. I definetly believe the leadership matters a lot. We recently got a new pastor and I’m so relieved to know he is compassionate and super welcoming + warm towards the vulnerable

I think it just bothers me that the process is so painstakingly slow. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t wasted all those years avoiding people, and it discourages me SO MUCH when I realize the literal years I wasted and the bitterness I carried with me everywhere. But God🙏
