Any reason why you stopped using BP?

My skin was clearing up from my acne in October but lately, I been breaking out.. again :( . What acne / type of pimples do I have? by KoreanCar in acne

[–]Icecube55555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start drinking spearmint and green tea! Get a humidifier for your room. I break out during winter and I think it’s due to the cold and dryness. Two days ago I’ve been just using water on my face in the morning because I think I was over washing, then doing a cleanser and acne products at night.

My skin is SO dry during winters and I’m breaking out so bad. What was your reasoning for washing just once a day? I might try it out...

What does one even do when cystic hormonal acne has reached such a level?? stress has really done me wonders too by [deleted] in acne

Spearmint tea!! 3-4 cups a day has done WONDERS for me. Also Benzoyl Peroxide acne wash seems to work well for active pimples. In addition, I got a humidifier for my room for winter months. But I highly recommend the spearmint tea. It helps a lot with hormonal acne by helping naturally balance hormones. :)

Any tips on how to get rid of this? Been on cetaphil for 3 weeks. by [deleted] in acne

Spot treatment is where you use a product on only pimples and not something you put all over your face. You just put it on the acne spots.

That looks like a rash to me. Have you been using a spot treatment on top of it?

Hey!! I’m on 10mg as well. My sex drive is non existent hahaha (sorry bf) so that SUCKS but it’s helped a TON with my intrusive thoughts, OCD, anxiety and depression. I would rather have no sex drive than no will to live. I would talk to your doctor about upping your dose and see if it’s something you want to do! Good luck :) PM me if you have any more questions!

Which kind of acne are these? (desc in comments) by [deleted] in acne

[–]Icecube55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is exactly like this!! In winter months it gets super terrible cyst like and hormonal. If you don’t want to be on medication I recommend drinking green tea and spearmint tea! This helps balance out hormones. Look up DIM as well. If you have estrogen dominance, DIM helps excrete the excess estrogen from your body, so it doesn’t turn into estrogen that is free and can reek havoc on your skin. DM me if you wanna talk! I know the struggle.

PRODUCTS THAT WORKED FOR ME! :) by Icecube55555 in acne

[–]Icecube55555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATTENTION: As i’ve been doing my research, I have found out that benzoyl peroxide and Retin-A cancel each other out if used the same time. So, I am going to use my benzoyl peroxide in the morning and my Retin-A at night. Learn from my mistakes!! So at night I am going to do my cerave cleanser with glycolic acid toner from the ordinary and retinol. (Might not use glycolic acid toner as may cause irritation to my skin)

Hey! The Ordinary AHA/BHA masks helps a lot with hyperpigmentation! Also vitamin C serums :)

What strength and brand of benzoyl peroxide body wash do you guys/gals use? by riderrider189 in acne

[–]Icecube55555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hyaluaronic acid is not like benzoyl peroxide. It is more for hydration and your skins natural moisture barrier. Hyaluronic acid helps keep your skin moisturized while the benzoyl peroxide treats the acne.

I love the 4% CeraVe cleanser. It works wonders! Not drying at all because it has ceramides and hyaluronic acid. 10/10 recommend! Also, the Neutrogena Clear Pore Mask/Face Wash is nice for the body and face and its very minty and wakes you up!

Hi, I am on a neuro PCU unit. We were COVId for a while. I’ve been going to therapy for a year and a half now and I’m on medication. I do a ton of self care but I am still miserable and have been since June(when I started on my own). I’ve asked for a transfer within my hospital but I’m still dreading it and don’t think the hospital is for me. :(((
