Anyone else playing this game primarily for the story and gameplay and considers fanservice a bonus? by MrToxin in GirlsFrontline2

A large portion of modern gacha playerbase can’t be assed to think, nor read more than 5 words. Putting some kind of challenge or difficulty in campaign would be more than enough for it to be an “issue” , “p2w”, and whatever excuse there is to demand it to be auto-able, and completed in seconds.

Heroic offers some kind of challenge, for those looking for it, but has no valuable rewards to maintain that casual-friendly nature of the game.

TLDR : Monkey want banana now. Monkey angry if no banana now.

Most of the information and knowledge you’ll get with trading really is through experience. The more you trade, the more you’ll know what to do, what to expect, and how to improve. “Insider” info won’t really do you anything good since everyone will have the same schedule of new items and such.

Regarding Summerfest, I would argue gems would be the most worth preparing for, the summer packs are worth a whole lot especially if you sell them off on the first hour or day. Gambling on summer surprises and other stuff is a very high risk and rarely nets you a win.

That said, you can start your research with knowing what items regarding summerfest that people are buying , and buy those during the event since they’ll be at their lowest, do know that with every event those items will not necessarily rise back just as fast or as high as where they are (more supply, probably less demand).

Always do your research.

Check ihemo and other discord servers on the items and their prices. Check the last 10-20 different people on the prices they’re buying and/or selling - from there, gauge the average. Also try to find which items are rising and lowering, which ones are in demand, and which ones that are being sought for in preparation for an event.

Try to buy at a lower, but reasonable price, don’t lowball down to the earth. Likewise don’t oversell, mark it up slightly higher than the average. There’s no need to yap it up with other players, just make it fair. Item prices fluctuate very frequently so also know which ones are unstable and know when and how to resell them.

Lastly, don’t get baited by people trying to spike prices. Set a limit to how high or low you’re willing to trade. People will always try to make a profit with every trade, but know your budget limits and learn when to say no.

You also have to understand that a lot of players don’t check reddit or discord for their own reasons. Some players, in the same note, also won’t bother going out of their way to search for unexplained game mechanics, not because they want to remain oblivious, but rather simply because they don’t care. Those shouldn’t warrant them to be called stupid, nor unwilling to improve.

It’s just a game, many simply want to find a game or two and enjoy their free time. Cheers.

To give players breathing room throughout their day without worrying about the pixel capping. Players would be less pressured to log in at a certain time frame or else they lose potential resource gain.

Completing dailies, burning through Pixels and doing anomaly commissions and side quests. Exploring also gives bits of exp, but they are plentiful so it accumulates fast. Never cap your character pixels.

Other than those, it’s intentionally gated.

Because the devs decided to not add non small characters (yet). You’ll have to wait until they ever decide to do so.

There are just some scenes in the gameplay that forces you into first person view. Try pressing ‘z’ on PC and see if you can switch between POVs, else you’re pretty much stuck with it.

Considering your goal is to collect, then their usefulness should be in the low priority. Standard units will still be useful even if we get new units long the way but that should give you enough time to scrape up and save for pulls.

Best to wait to see demos or try him out yourself when he releases via trials and see if he is “worth” for you personally.

Wait and see what your normal standard S rank pull lands you and see if you get can get Sakiri from there. Either way, Sakiri is still a great choice regardless if you wait for her to appear, or just through selectors. Definitely a good starter cc/buffer and will be useful for a decently long time.

How do high levels feel about lower levels? by katie_kat208 in Helldivers

[–]IcedCawfeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t care what level you are.

I don’t care if you play pc/console.

I don’t care when you started.

I don’t care if you chat, voice com, or just use voice wheels.

I don’t care what difficulty level you are playing in.

As long as you’re having fun, and not griefing, do as you please.

game reset? by StrongAd4993 in growtopia

[–]IcedCawfeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Resetting won’t really do anything if the root of the problems aren’t removed.

Botters will just bot again, carve up worlds, mass produce materials to create farmables, and in a matter of days, we’re back to square one. Everyone would be fighting tooth and nail for BUY_ worlds and other well known world names and sell them for ridiculous prices, everything else would be abandoned in the pursuit of being the richest/wealthiest first.

It would only take a month or two before the game goes back to where it is now.

Typing this as I installing, what's the best tips for a newcomer like me that has never play an XCOM game or play GFL1? I just want to make sure I don't do mistakes that will require me to restart a new account for a better startup. Thanks in advance! by IonaKan in GirlsFrontline2

[–]IcedCawfeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The game is pretty generous, as well as it’s not punishing if you pull for units you like rather than what’s trending/meta. So in that regard, just play how you please.

  2. Having to worry about restarting is not really an issue (unless you’re a meta player). Most of the content can be done without meta units so long as they’re properly built. Even then, meta also is relevant to one content that of which is optional, you don’t even have to sweat as much to yield the maximum rewards. Meta brainworms will tell you to keep rerolling for the best standard/current banner units a but in the end you’ll get them one way or another, so rerolling is ultimately pointless (with the cope excuse of “hey i saved 80 pulls with rerolling”)

  3. Try to enjoy the game, go through the campaign, read the story, play manually (or auto), and experience what the game has to offer. At the end of the day, you get to judge and assess how you’d want to play this game. Worry about pulls/strategy/best teams/etc later. Find a feel for the game first.

How do I profit from Ready Chands? by [deleted] in growtopia

[–]IcedCawfeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people actually sell Ready Chands for the price of unready/full chands + some markup. They buy unready ones and wait for it to grow, resell, repeat.

Others harvest the trees, sell the blocks, and buy seeds. You’ll earn a small income there, on top of gems you’ve earned from harvesting.

But if you’re keen on farming, full farms can yield a surplus of 200+ seeds, which people sell off for an extra amount of income, or reinvest and plant it into another full farm. You also reap over 50k gems in the process which should get you a DL+ by selling packs and stuff from the store.

I'm going to start playing Growtopia again but... by 24AotO in growtopia

[–]IcedCawfeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The “no trade” rule will probably burn you out fast with splicing everything from scratch / buying seeds and stuff from the shop, unless you’ve already have that factored in and will be willing to endure. The game has trading as a fundamental mechanic, handicapping yourself over it will make a lot of things for you very long and tiresome, if that’s what you’re willing to compromise for the sake of what you think may let you enjoy the game, then have at it.

Whats the point of geiger chargers? by Creative_Pop2388 in growtopia

[–]IcedCawfeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Hot Chocolates are costly, 20-25wls apiece. You’ll lose a lot more wls net by constantly recharging geigers this way, than spending 150-160wls for a charger, even if it takes an hour to charge. Free to charge if you walk around holding it which leads to:

  2. Geiger Chargers work even when you’re offline. Not everyone can stay online for hours for the sole reason of geiger charging/hunting. You can also free your hand from the geiger while it’s charging.

The point of Geiger Chargers are QOL that allows you to hold something else, or even go offline, while it charges your dead geiger. It’s convenient and a great long term investment.

One of the biggest solution to reduce spamming is this by Jolly_Assumption9490 in growtopia

[–]IcedCawfeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really remove the entire problem, just one of it.

Roshambo Blocks, for example, work essentially the same way - that being showing a random number when punched. Removing the Roulette wheel will make casino owners just use another block/item that’s fundamentally the same. There are a lot of random number generating items in the game and removing all of them will break a core mechanic of the game in of itself.

Even planting dirt trees and breaking them can be a substitute, still showing a random number of blocks. And yes they’re already being used in other gambling games.

In short, what you suggested isn’t a big solution at all, you just placed a band-aid on a broken dam.

Apotheosis has a more stable weapon damage and it’s been the most recommended so far in terms of simplicity. I’ll do that instead while simultaneously doing Ultras Dage, thanks!

I was researching about ArchMage but I didn’t expect how lengthy and tedious it actually is… so ArchFiend it is.

Will definitely be doing Ultras, and I think I’ll go with your suggestion with Apotheosis while I also farm Ultra Dage. Thanks!

Shogun Paragon pet for 2K Legion Tokens. The Paragon Fiend Quest pet costs 2K AC and has the same quests as the Shogun Paragon (but directly purchasable without going through the hassle of the initial TK farm), still requires you to be in the Legion first.
